To complete the Sprite collection before November 1, 2026, Eastern Time, use a repeatable loop: open Cheat Code Chests, equip a Sprite, level that same Sprite to Level 5, and extract it before elimination or match loss. Use Portable Extractors when a marked Extraction Site is too dangerous, and check the in-game Override collection rather than relying on a fixed online count.
What Sprites do in Chapter 7 Season 4
Sprites are gameplay helpers, not passive collectibles. Epic describes them as “little helpers on the battlefield” that you can find and equip during a match to receive a special Sprite Power ability. The ability matters immediately, so choose a Sprite that fits the way you are playing rather than assuming one is universally best.

The complete gameplay loop is:
- Find a Sprite.
- Equip it and build its level during the match.
- Carry it to an Extraction Site or use a Portable Extractor.
- Bank it before you are eliminated or the match ends.
Finding a Sprite without extracting it does not complete the collection or a mastery attempt.

There is no stable, single number to use as a completion target. A 2026 Beebom guide gives two different totals on the same page: one section reports 25 base Sprites and 122 total variants, while a later FAQ says 101 total Sprites, including 25 base versions. Nintendo Life reported 11 new Override Sprites at launch. These figures can also change as live-service content is updated.

Find Sprites through Cheat Code Chests
Season 4’s main Sprite route is the Cheat Code system. The dedicated Sprite Chests used in earlier coverage were replaced by Cheat Code Chests. Chest color sets a rarity floor:
| Chest color | Rarity floor | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Blue | Rare | Enter the arrow sequence displayed by the Cheat Code system, then open the chest. |
| Purple | Epic | Enter the displayed arrow sequence and open the chest for an Epic-or-better floor. |
| Gold | Legendary | Enter the displayed arrow sequence and open the chest for a Legendary-or-better floor. |
A practical landing route
- Choose a landing area near a cluster of Cheat Code Chests.
- As soon as you reach a chest, enter the arrow sequence shown on screen.
- Prioritize the highest-rarity chest you can reach without abandoning your escape route.
- Equip the Sprite you want to develop and leave the area with an Extraction Site in mind.
A high-rarity chest is useful, but surviving with an extracted Sprite is more valuable than taking a risky fight for a better chest.
Extract a Sprite before you lose the match
Use a marked Extraction Site
Once the Sprite is equipped, move toward the nearest marked Extraction Site immediately. Do not wait until the Storm or an enemy squad leaves you with no safe path. Extraction is the step that banks the Sprite for collection and mastery.
Use a Portable Extractor when the route is unsafe
If the marked site is exposed, blocked, or outside a safe rotation, use a Portable Extractor instead. Beebom lists its price as 2,500 Sprite Dust. Because that cost is an in-game resource expenditure, reserve it for situations where reaching the fixed site is likely to cost the Sprite or the match.
Protect the carrier
- Plan the extraction destination before opening a chest.
- Move while the route is still inside the safe zone.
- Avoid unnecessary fights while carrying a Sprite you are trying to master.
- If the squad is rotating, communicate who is carrying the Sprite and where extraction will occur.
Elimination or match loss can prevent the banked result, so extraction should be treated as the first objective after acquisition.

Level a Sprite and complete mastery
Build levels during ordinary play
Sprite levels can be built through exploration, opening chests, entering Cheat Codes, eliminations, and surviving the Storm. Combine several of these in one match instead of farming a single activity in a dangerous location.

Reach Level 5, then extract that same Sprite
The current mastery requirement reported by AllThingsHow is Level 5 plus extraction. Reaching Level 5 alone is not enough: extract the same Sprite after it reaches that level. If you are carrying multiple objectives, verify which Sprite is active before the extraction interaction.
Check exceptions for special variants
Crown, Klombo, and Bounty Hunter variants may use different leveling rules. Open the individual collection entry and follow its stated requirement instead of assuming that every variant follows the standard Level 5 path.
Use the collection and Override screens to find what is missing
After each successful extraction, review the in-game collection. The Override collection helps separate missing base Sprites from missing variants, which is essential when published totals disagree.
Sprite Garden is a display area for collected Sprites. It includes representation from Season 3, but it does not replace Battle Royale acquisition or extraction. If an entry is missing, return to matches and obtain it through the relevant gameplay route.
How to compare Sprite targets without picking a universal “best”
Different powers suit different play styles, and Beebom’s recommendations are explicitly experience-based. Compare each target on these criteria:
Rank #3
- GILDED TROOPER: Board the Battle Bus and drop in with Fortnite Legendary Skull Trooper (Gilded)!
- FORTNITE: 6-inch action figure is inspired by the video game Fortnite
- ARTICULATED: Feature 28 points of articulation to win any Battle Royale
- ACCESSORIES: Comes equipped with Back Bling and Harvesting Tools
- BONUS CODE: Code for virtual item included: Mecha-jolly
- Rarity: identify the chest floor or other source tied to the entry.
- Ability: read the Sprite Power description and match it to your preferred fights, rotations, or survival plan.
- Acquisition source: note whether the entry comes from a Cheat Code Chest or a special variant route.
- Leveling rule: confirm whether it uses the normal progression or a Crown, Klombo, or Bounty Hunter exception.
- Extraction risk: estimate the distance and exposure of the nearest Extraction Site.
- Cost: account for the 2,500 Sprite Dust listed for a Portable Extractor when a fixed site is impractical.
- Type: record whether the entry is a base Sprite or an Override variant.
Common mistakes and fixes
Counting every online list as definitive
Conflicting totals of 101 and 122 variants show why static lists age quickly. Use the dated snapshot above only as context, then trust the collection screen for your actual missing entries.
Leaving extraction until the final circle
Extraction is not an optional post-match step. Choose the site immediately after acquisition, or budget Sprite Dust for a Portable Extractor before the route becomes unsafe.
Assuming Level 5 automatically grants mastery
Mastery requires both progression and extraction. Reach Level 5, keep that Sprite equipped, and complete the extraction interaction in the same run.
Using Sprite Garden as an acquisition shortcut
Garden entries display what you have collected; they do not award missing Sprites. Return to Battle Royale and repeat the find, level, and extract loop.
A match-by-match completion plan
- Match preparation: pick a Cheat Code Chest cluster and identify nearby extraction options.
- Acquisition: enter the arrow sequence and prioritize the best available rarity floor that your route can support.
- Progression: explore, search chests, use Cheat Codes, fight only when useful, and survive Storm movement to build levels.
- Mastery attempt: continue until the active Sprite reaches Level 5, unless its collection entry specifies an exception.
- Banking: extract at the marked site or spend the listed 2,500 Sprite Dust on a Portable Extractor.
- Audit: check the Override collection after the match and select the next missing base Sprite or variant.
Repeat this process before the Battle Pass deadline of November 1, 2026, Eastern Time, and recheck the in-game collection after updates because availability, chest distribution, costs, abilities, mastery rewards, and variant counts can change during the season.
