1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsAccount deletion and the Throne and Liberty migration opt-out are separate requests. Deletion starts in the Amazon Games iD portal and asks Amazon Games to handle data associated with your iD. The opt-out only prevents your Throne and Liberty game data from moving from Amazon Game Studios to NC during the 2026 service transition. It is not described as deletion of your Amazon Games iD or as erasure of every record Amazon holds.

| Question | Amazon Games iD deletion request | Throne and Liberty migration opt-out |
|---|---|---|
| Primary purpose | Request handling of data associated with your Amazon Games iD. | Prevent Throne and Liberty account and game data from transferring from Amazon Game Studios to NC. |
| Where it starts | Sign in at id.amazongames.com and use the data-access or deletion flow. | Use the official Throne and Liberty transition FAQ’s opt-out request. |
| Effect on characters and progress | The game support article does not promise that characters, progression, inventory, platform links or support history will be erased. | Characters, progression and inventory do not carry over to NC; playing later under NC requires starting fresh. |
| Deadline | No game-specific deadline is stated in the cited support guidance. | Submit by October 30, 2026. |
| Does it delete the Amazon Games iD? | The portal handles a data request; the cited game article does not define the exact records or exceptions. | No. The transition FAQ does not characterize opting out as deletion of the Amazon Games iD. |
| Retention detail | The support article does not state processing time, precise scope or retained records. | Opted-out account data remains subject to standard Amazon Game Studios retention and deletion policies; the FAQ does not give a record-by-record schedule. |
The two procedures are therefore not interchangeable. If you want both migration protection and a data request, treat them as two separate actions.
What an Amazon Games iD deletion request does
The documented route
The official Throne and Liberty support article titled “Amazon Game Studios and My Data” says that data associated with an Amazon Games iD, including requests for data access or deletion, can be requested after signing in at id.amazongames.com. That portal is the documented starting point for an Amazon Games iD data-deletion request.

This is a request for Amazon Games to process data connected with the iD. It is not a statement that every object ever connected to the game will disappear immediately. The support article does not enumerate the records removed, the records retained under legal or operational exceptions, the processing time, or whether a particular platform identifier, purchase record, fraud-prevention record or support conversation is retained.
What the game support page does not guarantee
- It does not promise deletion of every Throne and Liberty character or item record.
- It does not say that a linked console or PC platform account is unlinked automatically.
- It does not provide a universal completion date.
- It does not say that support tickets, transaction records or security logs are erased without exception.
- It does not confirm that an Amazon Games iD can still authenticate another request after deletion is completed.
Amazon Games’ privacy practices are also governed by Amazon’s Privacy Notice. That policy is the general reference for handling personal information, while the game support article is the source that identifies where to begin the request. Your account-specific portal response is the place to check the actual scope and any exceptions presented for your account.
What “removes” means in each workflow
In a deletion workflow, “removes” refers to the handling of information associated with the Amazon Games iD under the applicable privacy process. The published game guidance does not define a universal list of fields. A request might therefore involve several kinds of information—identity details, game associations, platform links, support interactions or transaction-related records—but you should rely on the categories shown in your signed-in portal rather than assume every category is included.
In an opt-out workflow, “does not transfer” is the operative result. The characters, progression and inventory that would otherwise move to NC are excluded from the migration. That does not establish that the source copy is immediately destroyed, that backups disappear on the same date, or that unrelated Amazon Games iD records are removed. The transition FAQ instead says opted-out account data remains subject to standard retention and deletion policies.
This distinction also explains why a successful opt-out can still leave an active Amazon Games iD. The account may remain subject to ordinary account-management and privacy rules even though its Throne and Liberty game state is not sent to NC.
What the migration opt-out does
It blocks the transfer, not necessarily the data itself
Amazon Game Studios’ 2026 transition FAQ describes a move of Throne and Liberty service operations to NC. The opt-out records your decision not to have the relevant game and account data transferred to NC. The FAQ does not say that submitting the opt-out erases the Amazon Games iD or instantly destroys all Amazon Game Studios records.
If you opt out, your characters, progression and inventory will not carry over to NC. If you later decide to play under NC’s operation, you must begin with a new game state rather than recovering the opted-out progress.

What happens if you do nothing
The stated default is migration: if you take no action during the opt-out window, your game data transfers to NC as part of the standard transition. After the transition, players must accept NC’s terms and complete any required activation steps to continue playing. The opt-out is therefore a gameplay-continuity choice as much as a data-transfer choice.
Key dates
- October 30, 2026: current deadline to submit the migration opt-out.
- November 10, 2026: transition maintenance is scheduled to begin.
The transition announcement notes that its FAQ may be updated as details are confirmed. Check the live official FAQ immediately before submitting anything, particularly if the deadline is close or your account situation is unusual.
Requirements for the migration opt-out
The transition FAQ says you need both of the following:
- An active Amazon Games iD.
- A platform account linked to that Amazon Games iD.
Those requirements matter because an Amazon Games iD deletion request and a migration opt-out have different purposes. Do not assume that deleting the iD automatically records an opt-out, and do not delete the iD first if you still need it to authenticate the migration form. The official sources do not establish whether a completed deletion would prevent a later opt-out, so resolve that account-specific question with official support before October 30.
How to request Amazon Games iD data deletion
- Open id.amazongames.com.
- Sign in with the Amazon Games iD connected to your Throne and Liberty activity.
- Open the data-access or privacy section identified by the portal. The support article describes this as the place to request access to or deletion of data associated with the iD.
- Select the deletion request option, review the account and data description shown for your session, and submit the request.
- Save the confirmation or reference information supplied by the portal. Keep it with the date and the iD used, without sharing those details publicly.
- Read any follow-up message from the portal carefully. It may identify verification steps, data categories, exceptions or a response timeframe that the general game support article does not publish.
If the portal cannot identify your account, stop before creating a second iD or changing the linked platform account. Use the official Amazon Games iD help route or Throne and Liberty support so the request is attached to the correct identity.
How to submit the Throne and Liberty migration opt-out
- Open the current official Throne and Liberty transition FAQ.
- Find the question “Can I opt out of the data transfer?” and follow the opt-out request linked there. Use that current form rather than relying on an old bookmark or assuming an account deletion is enough.
- Sign in with the active Amazon Games iD that has your platform account linked.
- Review the acknowledgement about the consequence: characters, progression and inventory will not transfer to NC, and a later return under NC starts fresh.
- Submit the opt-out before October 30, 2026.
- Retain the confirmation screen, email or reference number. If you receive no confirmation, contact official support promptly rather than submitting repeated requests without knowing whether the first was recorded.
The opt-out is a migration preference. It does not replace a data-access or deletion request through the Amazon Games iD portal.
Should you do one request or both?
If you want to keep playing after the transition
Do not opt out merely because you want less data held by Amazon. Opting out prevents your existing game state from moving to NC, so your characters, progression and inventory will not be available there. If continued play with that progress matters, the opt-out has a direct cost.

If you want your game data kept out of NC
Submit the migration opt-out before the stated deadline. The result is that the game data does not transfer, but the FAQ does not promise immediate deletion of the corresponding Amazon Game Studios records.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →If you want an Amazon Games iD data request
Use the signed-in portal. The portal is the documented route for asking about deletion of data associated with the iD, and it is the only one of these two procedures explicitly described as a deletion request.
If you want both outcomes
Complete the migration opt-out while the active iD and linked platform account still satisfy the FAQ’s requirements, then submit the separate deletion request through the iD portal if that is still appropriate for your account. The published guidance does not say that either request automatically triggers the other, so do not treat one confirmation as proof that both actions occurred.
Timing, identity and proof of submission
Use the same Amazon Games iD that is tied to the game and the linked platform account. A successful sign-in alone does not prove that the correct game account is attached. Check the account details displayed by each form before sending the request, especially if you have multiple iDs or have changed platforms.
Record the date, confirmation number and email associated with each submission. Keep deletion and opt-out confirmations separately because they answer different questions. If support asks for evidence, provide the reference number rather than repeatedly submitting a new form. Repeated submissions can make it harder to determine which request was recorded.

The opt-out is date-sensitive, while the game support article gives no equivalent deletion deadline. If you need both, prioritize completing the opt-out while the iD is active and the linked platform account is available. Then follow the portal’s instructions for the deletion request and any identity verification it requires.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Mistaking “opt out” for “erase everything”
The opt-out changes where the game data goes during the service transition. It does not come with a published promise that every Amazon Games iD record, support record or platform association is deleted.

Deleting first and trying to opt out later
The opt-out requires an active iD and a linked platform account. Because the sources do not explain how a completed deletion affects that requirement, deleting first could create an avoidable authentication problem. If both actions matter, ask official support about the correct order before the deadline.
Assuming no confirmation means no submission
Save the confirmation details from either workflow. If a message is delayed or missing, check the portal’s request history or contact official support with the account and submission details rather than sending multiple untracked requests.

Expecting the opted-out progress to be recoverable
The transition FAQ states that characters, progression and inventory do not carry over after opting out. Plan on a fresh start if you later play under NC.
Using an unlinked platform account
The migration workflow requires a platform account linked to the active Amazon Games iD. Signing in with a different iD or an account that was never linked may not identify the game account you intend to opt out.
Relying on an old deadline
Transition details can change. Verify the current official FAQ immediately before acting, especially if you are reading this near the October 30, 2026 deadline.

The cited official pages leave several account-level questions open:
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Which exact fields and records are removed when an Amazon Games iD deletion request is approved.
- How long processing takes for a particular account.
- Which records are retained under legal, fraud-prevention, payment, security or operational exceptions.
- Whether deleting an iD also removes every game, platform or support association.
- Whether a deleted iD can authenticate a migration opt-out submitted afterward.
- The exact retention period for data belonging to players who opt out of the NC transfer.
These are not details to guess from the word “deletion.” Read the account-specific response and ask official support for clarification where the outcome affects your deadline, identity verification or ability to continue playing.

A practical decision checklist
- Your priority is privacy handling for the Amazon Games iD: start at the signed-in iD portal and submit the data-deletion request there.
- Your priority is stopping transfer to NC: use the separate transition opt-out before October 30, 2026.
- Your priority is keeping existing characters and progress: understand that opting out removes the carryover path; taking no action leaves the account in the standard migration route, subject to NC terms and activation.
- You want both: preserve the active iD and linked platform account long enough to complete the opt-out, then handle the separate deletion request, unless official support gives your account different instructions.
- You are unsure what will be erased: do not infer scope from the opt-out confirmation; ask the iD portal or official support about the specific records involved.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does opting out delete my Amazon Games iD?
No. The transition FAQ describes the opt-out as preventing Throne and Liberty data from transferring to NC. It does not describe the opt-out as deletion of the Amazon Games iD or all Amazon-held records.
What happens to my character if I opt out?
Characters, progression and inventory do not carry over to NC. If you later play under NC, you must start with a fresh game state.
What happens if I do nothing?
The FAQ says your game data transfers to NC as part of the standard migration. Afterward, you must accept NC’s terms and complete any required activation steps to continue.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Where do I request deletion of Amazon Games iD data?
Sign in at id.amazongames.com and use the data-access or deletion flow. The Throne and Liberty support article identifies that portal as the route for requests involving data associated with the iD.
Can I submit the deletion request instead of the migration opt-out?
No. They have different purposes. A deletion request asks Amazon Games to handle iD-associated data; it is not documented as a migration preference.
What is the opt-out deadline?
The currently stated deadline is October 30, 2026. Transition maintenance is scheduled to begin November 10, 2026. Confirm the live official FAQ in case details are updated.
Do I need anything specific to opt out?
The transition FAQ requires an active Amazon Games iD and a platform account linked to it. Use the iD that owns the Throne and Liberty account you intend to exclude from transfer.
Can I know exactly which records deletion removes?
The game support article does not publish a complete record list, processing time or retention exceptions. Review the account-specific portal response and ask official support about records that matter to you.
The Bottom Line
Deletion and opt-out solve different problems. Use id.amazongames.com for a request involving data associated with your Amazon Games iD. Use the separate Throne and Liberty migration form by October 30, 2026 if you do not want your game data transferred to NC—but understand that your characters, progression and inventory will not carry over, and that opting out is not described as erasing the iD or every Amazon Games record. If both outcomes matter, complete the opt-out while your iD and linked platform account are active, preserve both confirmations, and ask official support about any unresolved account-specific question.
