What One UI 7 brings to the Galaxy Tab experience
One UI versions typically evolve how Samsung organizes touch targets, surfaces system controls, and refines tablet productivity UI (multi-window, edge panels, and split-screen framing). On the Galaxy Tab line, the visual “look” often shows up first in the notification shade, quick toggles, and window management chrome.

Because Samsung can roll features by region, carrier, or build type, the exact visuals you see can vary—even if the version label says One UI 7.
First: confirm you’re actually on One UI 7
Before judging the “look,” verify the software version on your exact tablet model. This avoids comparing your device to the wrong build (beta vs stable, different regions, or staged rollouts).
Check the build number and software version
On your Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, open Settings → Software update → Download and install. You don’t need to install anything just to read version info—look for your current Software version or similar label.
Recommended Free Tools
Write down these values exactly (a screenshot is even better): version name (One UI 7), build number, and model code (SM-… if shown).
Check your security patch level
In the same settings area, find Security patch level. Two devices can both say “One UI 7,” but be on different patch months and therefore show different UI refinements.
Cross-check with Samsung Members and release notes
Open the Samsung Members app and check for update or news banners tied to One UI 7. If you see a changelog entry, compare it to what you’re noticing visually (for example, “improved notification shade” or “new multi-window bar styling”).
What One UI 7 typically changes visually (where to look on the Tab S10 Ultra)
Even without relying on rumors or screenshots from strangers, you can pinpoint the One UI 7 “look” by checking high-visibility surfaces. Here’s where those changes usually show up first on Samsung tablet UI.

Lock screen and Always On Display behavior
Go to Settings → Lock screen and inspect the lock screen style options. Then check Settings → Lock screen → Always On Display.
On One UI updates, the most noticeable differences often appear in clock styling, icon placement, and whether notification previews look more compact or more separated.
Quick settings and notification shade layout
Swipe down from the top of the screen and compare: quick toggle arrangement, the spacing between tiles, and how notification cards stack.
Also open one notification and then go back. The “look” often changes in the transition animation and how expanded notifications display quick actions.

Long-press on the home screen, then adjust Home screen settings (or the equivalent menu) to check the grid, icon size, and any theme-derived spacing changes.
Then open the app drawer and scroll slowly. Pay attention to inertia, item density, and whether the section headers or search UI look more streamlined.

Settings app structure and icons
Open Settings and look at category grouping and icon style. On major One UI releases, Samsung often tightens how settings sections are labeled and how submenus are presented.
If the settings search bar or keyboard behavior changed, it’ll usually be obvious here.

On a tablet, UI “look” is inseparable from productivity UI. Open any recent app and try multi-window/split-screen via the app switcher or edge controls (method depends on your setup).
Look closely at the split-screen divider bar, window titles, and how resize handles appear. Those are often the most distinct visual signals of a One UI revision.
Samsung keyboard, handwriting, and input UI
Open any text field (Messages, Notes, email) and type. Inspect the keyboard height, key spacing, and how the suggestion strip aligns.
If you use handwriting, open handwriting mode and observe the toolbar placement and stroke UI feedback.
Edge panels, sidebar behaviors, and tab-specific UI
Go to Settings → Advanced features (or a similar entry point) → Edge panels. Turn the panels on/off and swipe to see if the panel handle changed size or position.
Also check whether the sidebar/panel integrates more cleanly with multi-window.
Side-by-side visual checklist (use this to judge what you’re seeing)
Instead of trying to memorize “what it looks like,” run through this checklist on your own device. If the same areas match the screenshots you’ve seen, you’re likely on the intended build.
Display and theme consistency
Verify Settings → Wallpaper and style. Note whether the theme palette affects system UI elements (notification cards, quick settings tile highlights, and app header bars).

Animations and transitions
Pay attention to the timing when you: open/close the notification shade, expand a notification, switch split-screen apps, or dismiss a pop-up window.
If you’ve enabled Developer options or changed animation scales, the UI can feel “wrong” even when it’s correct.
Controls (buttons, sliders, toggles)
Inspect one or two settings pages with toggles and sliders. Compare the size of the toggle track, the thumb position style, and whether the state colors look different.
This is often where small One UI visual refinements become undeniable.
Tablet-specific layout changes
Open a productivity app that supports multi-window (or use Samsung’s built-in multi-window workflows). Check window headers and divider styling during resize.
On large tablets, the divider and window chrome tend to highlight differences faster than the home screen.

How to capture the exact “what it looks like” screenshots
If you want to compare your device to videos or share your own results, capture consistent evidence. That means the right screenshot method and the right timing for animation-heavy UI.
Take system screenshots correctly (including scrolling)
Use Samsung’s standard screenshot gesture (commonly swipe gestures or button combo depending on your setup). For long pages, use the Scroll capture option when it appears.
Make screenshots of: the notification shade, a settings page with toggles, and a multi-window split-screen view.
Record short screen clips for animations
For quick settings shade and multi-window transitions, screen recording is more accurate than still images. Keep clips short (5–10 seconds) and record from the same starting state each time.
Then compare clips frame-by-frame if you’re trying to match exact behavior.
Tag versions in your notes so you can compare later
In Samsung Notes or your notes app, add a line like: “One UI 7 build: [paste build number]” plus the security patch month.

Common mismatches: when One UI 7 doesn’t look like the videos
It’s normal for your tablet to look slightly different from someone else’s One UI 7 screenshots. Most mismatches come from build type, region, or user settings—not from a “wrong” update.
Region and carrier differences
Samsung rolls updates in stages. The One UI 7 label can arrive before every UI refinement does. Carriers can also apply small overlays or default configurations.
Beta vs stable builds
If you’re using a beta channel, you might see earlier UI drafts. Stable builds can later adjust spacing, notification density, or animation timing.
Theme settings and accessibility options
If you’ve changed font size, display scaling, high contrast mode, or color filters, your UI will look different even with the same underlying One UI version.
Before comparison, temporarily revert: Settings → Accessibility back to defaults, then re-check the screens you care about.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesPerformance modes affecting animation timing
Check whether you’re using a power-saving mode or performance profile. Some modes reduce animation smoothness or update behavior, which can make the UI feel different.

If One UI 7 installed successfully but the UI feels glitchy, wrong, or oddly spaced, try targeted fixes first. Avoid factory resets unless you truly need them.
Force-stop and restart key apps
If notifications look incorrect, force-stop System UI isn’t usually exposed normally, but you can restart the app generating the UI differences (for example, Messages or Settings). Then reboot once.
On many devices, a clean reboot clears stale UI resources after a major OS update.

Clear cache (without wiping your data)
If you’re seeing rendering bugs in apps, clearing an app’s cache can help. Navigate to Settings → Apps, select the affected app, then choose storage/cache options (if available) to clear cache.
Do not clear data unless you’re okay with re-login and app resets.
Reboot after toggling accessibility/display options
Accessibility and display changes can trigger UI redraws. If you changed these options recently, reboot once to ensure the new layout resources are fully applied.
Alternatives if you want the look today (without waiting on your update)
If you don’t have One UI 7 yet, you can still approximate parts of the “look” using themes and home screen configuration—but system UI layout changes can’t be fully recreated without the actual software update.
Use themes and icon packs (what won’t change)
Open Galaxy Themes and try system-wide themes that affect icon style, color accents, and wallpaper. This can change how menus and cards look, but won’t replicate deep system behavior (like multi-window chrome) from One UI 7.
Adjust home screen layout and grid density
Use home screen settings to adjust grid size, icon layout, and widget density. Tablet users often prefer denser layouts; matching density can make the UI feel closer to what you’ve seen.
Turn on tablet productivity features manually
If the videos show specific productivity flows, ensure you have multi-window, edge panels, and your preferred gesture controls enabled. The “look” of productivity UI depends on both the OS version and the feature toggles you’ve turned on.
FAQs about One UI 7 on Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
How can I tell if my Tab S10 Ultra is on One UI 7 or just a theme that looks like it?
Check Settings → Software update for the software version/build number. Themes only affect colors, icons, and some styling; they don’t change the One UI version label or build info.
Why do screenshots look different even when the version says One UI 7?
Differences usually come from region/carrier rollout stage, beta vs stable builds, and user settings like font size, display zoom, accessibility options, and theme palette.
Can I force my tablet to “get the One UI 7 look” without the update?
You can approximate some visuals using Galaxy Themes and display settings, but you can’t fully replicate system-level UI changes (notification shade structure, multi-window chrome) without the actual One UI build.
My update installed, but the UI glitches or spacing feels wrong. What’s the first fix?
Reboot first. Then reset theme/display to defaults and clear cache for the app(s) showing issues. If problems persist, check for a follow-up software update.
Bottom Line
The easiest way to understand what One UI 7 looks like on the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is to verify your exact One UI 7 build and then compare the same high-visibility surfaces: notification shade, settings, multi-window chrome, and tablet-specific panels.
Use the screenshot and screen-record methods above so your comparisons are real—not memory-based—and you’ll quickly spot whether differences come from the build itself or from your settings.
