Why Thunderbolt 3 matters
Each of the two USB-C-shaped ports supports Thunderbolt 3. That gives the Air a more capable expansion option than a laptop with USB ports alone: a compatible hub or dock can consolidate charging, USB accessories, networking and external-display connections. Because the computer has only two ports, using one for charging can leave just one available unless you add a hub or dock.

Check the specifications of any accessory before buying. USB-C plugs fit the ports, but USB-C accessories do not all provide Thunderbolt performance or the same display and charging capabilities. A 13-inch sleeve is also an optional accessory; it is not stated as included with the laptop.
What “Grade A refurbished” means here
The sponsored deal description calls the computer “Grade-A quality refurbished,” with no more than light cosmetic wear and no screen wear. It says the seller’s process involves testing, inspection, repair and another test. Those are seller statements about the refurbishment process, not an independent inspection of the particular MacBook Air you receive.
“Grade A” also does not establish a specific battery-health percentage, cycle count, remaining warranty, replacement-parts policy or included accessories. Those details must come from the live seller listing or the order terms.

Good fit for
- Web browsing, email, documents, video calls and other light productivity.
- Students or travelers who value a light 13-inch computer and a Retina display.
- Users who already own a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C dock and need a compact desktop setup.
Use caution for
- Heavy video editing, 3D work, large software builds or other sustained processor-intensive tasks; this is a 2018 dual-core-era Intel configuration.
- Workflows that routinely exceed 8GB of memory or 256GB of storage. External storage can help capacity, but it does not add RAM.
- Buyers expecting current-model performance, modern port variety or a guaranteed all-day battery. The “up to 12 hours” figure is a seller description under its stated browsing or movie-playback conditions, not a promise for every workload or used battery.
Checks to complete before paying
- Open the live product page. Confirm that the selected variant is the gold 2018 Retina 13-inch model with 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Listings may show configuration-specific stock or mark some variants sold out.
- Recheck the checkout total. Compare the advertised $267.99 with the final price after shipping, taxes and any other charges.
- Identify the actual seller. Record the seller name, fulfillment method and contact route shown at checkout; a deal article or storefront name is not a substitute for those terms.

A lower price alone does not make this Air the better buy.
