That was a Best Buy “Techtober” offer, not an Amazon Prime Day deal. The report also listed a separate 8GB model at $599.99. As of October 7, the available information does not confirm that either Best Buy price is still live, so check the exact model and current checkout price before buying.
What the reported XPS 13 deals were
Windows Central’s October 5 deal report named two Best Buy prices. The $799.99 offer applied to one configuration whose reported original price was $999.99. The article also described a separate XPS 13 at $599.99 with 8GB of memory. Best Buy’s indexed product result identifies that lower-priced listing as having 8GB of memory and a 512GB SSD.

Why the $799.99 configurations need a closer look
There are at least two distinct configurations associated with a $799.99 price in the available reporting. TechRadar’s October 5 coverage describes a Best Buy model with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB SSD. Dell’s U.S. product page separately lists its DX13260 configuration with 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB SSD for $799.99, with the offer shown as valid through October 30, 2026.

The Dell price is a separate manufacturer offer; it does not verify that Best Buy’s reported $799.99 deal remains available. Likewise, a price alone is not enough to establish that two listings are the same SKU. Compare the retailer’s model or SKU, memory, storage, display description, stock status, and price shown at checkout.
Is the XPS 13 deal still available?
The October 5 reporting does not establish Best Buy’s live price or stock on October 7. Dell’s official U.S. listing shows $799.99 for the DX13260 8GB / 512GB configuration and an offer date through October 30, 2026, but that is not evidence that Best Buy’s promotion is active. Confirm the retailer page and checkout total on the day you order.

Which XPS 13 configuration is $599.99?
The reported $599.99 Best Buy listing is the 8GB-memory, 512GB-storage configuration, according to Best Buy’s indexed product result and Windows Central’s October 5 report. Do not assume it is the same configuration as the separately reported $799.99 Best Buy model; TechRadar identifies that latter configuration as having 16GB of memory.

The cited coverage flags the $599.99 model’s 8GB of memory as a limitation but does not provide workload testing or a universal recommendation. Whether it suits you depends on what you run: compare the configuration against your typical multitasking, browser tabs, and applications, and consider whether you need more headroom. The evidence here does not establish a measured performance difference between the 8GB and 16GB models.
