That is a dated deal report—not a live price check for 7 October, and not enough evidence to verify that it was the year’s lowest price. The set contains eight books, including the two short-story collections, but not Crossroads of Ravens.
What the reported deal covers
The offer covered the 2024 eight-book paperback boxed set by Andrzej Sapkowski. PC Gamer reported the Amazon Australia price as AU$67.99, reduced from AU$140, on 18 September 2026. PC Gamer’s deal report is a snapshot of that offer; it does not establish the price currently available on 7 October.

The headline’s “lowest price all year” wording should be treated cautiously. The available evidence does not independently verify that superlative for the eight-book set across Amazon Australia’s 2026 pricing history. It also cannot establish a year-low across all retailers or countries.
Which books are in the eight-book set?
The box combines Sapkowski’s two short-story collections, one standalone novel and five novels in the Witcher Saga:
#1 Best Overall
- The Last Wish
- Sword of Destiny
- Season of Storms
- Blood of Elves
- Time of Contempt
- Baptism of Fire
- The Tower of the Swallow
- The Lady of the Lake
Crossroads of Ravens is not included. Check the product description before buying, since “Witcher box set” can refer to different collections.
Don’t confuse it with the five-book Saga set
Hachette separately lists a five-novel Witcher Saga Boxed Set, containing Blood of Elves, The Time of Contempt, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of Swallows and The Lady of the Lake. It is not the eight-book 2024 set in the Australian deal report. Hachette’s product page showed the five-book set at US$89.99 and sold out when accessed; its catalog separately listed US$79.99 / CAN$101.99. Those are publisher-page and catalog prices, not confirmed current offers. Hachette’s five-book set page identifies the edition as ISBN 9780316498845.

Hachette also lists a two-book Witcher Stories boxed set at US$29.99 / CAN$37.99 in its catalog. Catalog prices should not be read as live retailer prices. Hachette’s catalog distinguishes those products and editions.

Price comparisons only make sense when the edition, market, retailer and date match. The available records describe different products and currencies:
| Listing | Recorded price or low | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Eight-book 2024 set, Amazon India | ₹3,320 on 6 October 2026; tracked low ₹2,134 on 9 January 2025 | India-specific history for that listing, not the Australian price. PriceHistory listing |
| Five-book Saga set, Flipkart India | ₹3,165 on 28 September 2026; tracked low ₹1,498 on 11 October 2025 | A different set and retailer from the eight-book deal. PriceHistory listing |
| Five-book Saga set, Australia comparison record | Historical low AU$44.63 on 1 September 2025 | A historical figure for the five-book set, not the eight-book set; BuyWisely says its prices were last updated 15 May 2026 and Amazon.com.au history is unavailable there. BuyWisely listing |
None of these records confirms a 2026 year-low for the eight-book Amazon Australia listing. For a current purchase, compare the exact eight-book edition’s live delivered price, seller, stock and shipping terms; a lower sticker price for a five-book box is not a like-for-like deal.
Quick Recap
How to judge whether it’s a good deal now
- Confirm the listing names the eight-book 2024 paperback set and shows the full contents.
- Check that the seller and delivery destination are in the market whose price you are evaluating.
- Compare the delivered total, not only the displayed item price; shipping, seller and availability can change the final cost.
- Use price history for the same edition and retailer over the period you care about. A dated deal article or a record for another country or set cannot prove the current price is the annual low.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
