- Performance: Further improvements, particularly on PS5. No frame-rate target or hardware-specific breakdown was provided.
- Visuals: More visual adjustments. The statement does not identify the effects, platforms or settings involved.
- My Rewards and Twitch Drops: Fixes for account and reward issues. The studio did not specify which users or items are affected, or whether any correction will be retroactive.
- Ukrainian localization: Availability in additional regions on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. This is an expansion of regional availability, not an announcement that Ukrainian language support itself is new.
- Console voiceover: Further fixes are planned. This work should not be confused with the separate PC hotfix already released.

GamesRadar’s October 1 account says the console and Xbox Play Anywhere update addressed issues including lighting and unavailable DLSS in Xbox Play Anywhere. It reports that the separate PC hotfix addressed save-file and voiceover-volume problems, as well as a HairWorks performance issue. GamesRadar described the PC download as roughly 5 GB and said the studio was investigating further reported issues. These are reported rollout details; they do not mean the PC fixes also shipped on consoles.
On October 1, GamesRadar reproduced a statement from CD Projekt Red Global Community and Social Media Director Marcin Momot: “We plan to have the fix on consoles for the volume issue as soon as…” The quoted sentence is incomplete in that report, which said no date had been set then. The October 6 statement still lists console voiceover fixes as prospective work.

Why reactions to the changes are not a measured split
Comments in the October 6 Reddit thread include players asking when the update will arrive and one player reporting a crash that repeatedly blocks progress in the same fight. Those examples show that timing and serious bugs remain concerns for some commenters, while the announced work also includes visual adjustments and a continued mod effort.

What owners need to know
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered launched September 29, 2026, as a free upgrade for eligible existing owners, according to CD Projekt Red’s launch announcement. The studio named GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners, as well as Switch 2 players who own the original Switch game. It also said the game is available to purchase on Battle.net and Microsoft Store. On supported platforms, Remastered replaces the Complete Edition and includes the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions.
For current owners on the platforms covered by the announcement, the Remastered release is described as a free upgrade rather than a required repurchase. The studio’s listed upcoming work is still in progress; no release date or final platform-by-platform rollout has been announced.
