How to start the Corvo Bianco renovations
Corvo Bianco is Geralt’s vineyard estate in Toussaint, introduced in the Blood and Wine expansion. Anna Henrietta gives Geralt the deed as a retainer for hunting the Beast of Beauclair. At the estate, meet Barnabas-Basil Foulty, take his tour, and ask about renovations. You can then commission work on the house or grounds. The renovation quest is called No Place Like Home. The costs and effects below are recorded in the unofficial Witcher.tools quest database; exact behavior may vary with game versions or mods.

The database’s 14,000-crown total is for the complete renovation set. The cellar laboratory is an optional discovery, not one of the listed purchases required for that total.

Which upgrades are most useful?
There is no single best order after the general refurbishment; choose according to how you play and what you want from the estate.
- Choose the bed if the Vitality bonus matters to your build.
- Choose the stable if you want the Stamina bonus for Roach.
- Choose the grindstone or armorer’s table if you want those work fixtures at the estate.
- Choose the racks, stands, guest room, and herb garden for display, storage, guest-room restoration, or garden use. These do not provide the specific combat bonuses associated with the bed and stable.
Every renovation is needed to finish the full upgrade checklist and earn the achievement. If you are short on crowns, you can defer optional work; the initial refurbishment is the key unlock for the additional indoor upgrades.
How to unlock the hidden cellar laboratory
After the general refurbishment, investigate the cellar. Workers uncover a sealed room; search the area and cast Aard on the damaged wall to open it. Search the room to discover the optional alchemy laboratory. You do not need to find it to complete every renovation or earn Playing House.

How to complete No Place Like Home
- Speak with Barnabas-Basil at Corvo Bianco and commission the general house refurbishment.
- Wait about three in-game days for the initial work to finish.
- Use the newly available renovation choices to commission the remaining house and grounds work, allowing the listed in-game wait for each job.
- When every renovation is finished, speak with Barnabas-Basil to complete the quest and receive Playing House.
Barnabas-Basil offers a celebratory drink at the end. Accepting or declining does not affect renovation completion.
Do you need to buy Blood and Wine?
Check your game library and platform before buying anything. CD PROJEKT RED says The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition includes both Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. Its support FAQ also says existing base-game owners receive both expansions at no extra cost; the FAQ describes standalone expansion listings as delisted and the digital base game as replaced by the Complete Edition. Store listings and availability can change. The official page lists current-generation Remastered availability for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
