The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival is an appealing solo brawler for fans who want to fight through the series’ recognizable cast and settings, but it is a poor match for anyone shopping for couch co-op or a long campaign. Its deliberate, sometimes stiff combat and short story are the main caveats; extra challenge modes offer replay, not a second story.

Trailmark Games describes The Walking Dead: Streets of Survival as a modern beat ’em up based on the All Out War storyline. You play as Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne, with Negan unlockable, fighting walkers and the Saviors across locations including the Sanctuary, Hilltop, and Alexandria. The game features melee and ranged attacks, signature weapons, boss encounters, multiple difficulty levels, and an optional Easy Mode. How the combat and campaign hold up
The two available reviews find the fighting satisfying in concept, but not especially fluid. Nick Navarro of Gaming Cypher describes combat as enjoyable but stiff and slower than a flashy, combo-heavy brawler. Michael Harradence of PlayStation Universe likewise praises the combat while reporting sticky controls, cheap enemies, and drawn-out boss fights. These are individual reviewers’ impressions rather than a broad critical consensus, and the difference in emphasis makes combat feel the most important thing to weigh if responsiveness is a priority.

Navarro reports roughly a dozen levels and a campaign that can be completed in a few hours. Harradence points to meaningful character upgrades, exploration, collectibles, difficulty options, wave battles, and replay opportunities; he says Negan unlocks after completing the missions and can be used for another run. These give you reasons to revisit the game, but they do not add another story campaign.
Is it worth it for different players?
Walking Dead fans
The recognizable characters, signature weapons, familiar locations, and All Out War setting are the game’s clearest appeal. If the chance to play as Rick, Daryl, Michonne, and eventually Negan is more important to you than a lengthy campaign, the premise may carry more weight than the limited scope.

The slower, deliberate combat could suit players who prefer a measured pace, but both reviews flag some stiffness, and one reports sticky controls. Those looking for fast, fluid combos should be cautious; the available evidence does not establish that the handling will satisfy them.
Players looking for co-op or a long game
This is a one-player title, according to the US PlayStation Store listing, and both reviews call out the absence of multiplayer or co-op. If you want to play with someone on the couch, this is not the right fit. Likewise, a few-hours story is unlikely to meet expectations for a substantial campaign, even if challenge modes and another run add replay.

Whether that is worthwhile depends on how much you value its cosmetics, soundtrack, endless survival mode, and no-checkpoint difficulty. The US PlayStation Store showed a user rating of 3.99 out of 5 from 77 ratings when accessed October 4, 2026. Store ratings can change and are separate from critics’ review scores. Michael Harradence scored the game 7.5 for PlayStation Universe in a review published September 18, 2026; Nick Navarro scored it 6.5/10 for Gaming Cypher. Can you buy a physical PS5 copy?
Trailmark Games’ official page says, “Physical Retail Coming October 16.” That supports the announcement of a physical release, but does not confirm a specific retailer’s listing, stock, or price.
