Nintendo describes the game as an arcade brawler and beat ’em up based on The Walking Dead’s All Out War storyline. The campaign follows Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, and Michonne, each with different fighting styles, stats, and signature abilities. Nintendo names Rick’s magnum, Michonne’s katana, and Daryl’s crossbow among their weapons. These are attributed opinions, not a broad measure of player reception or evidence of consensus. Rudge praises the pixel-art presentation; Nintendo’s listing, separately, supplies the game’s premise and character details.
Is there enough content for solo play?
Nintendo lists one player for single-system play, and Rudge reports that there is no local or online multiplayer. Players looking for co-op should treat this as a solo game. Nintendo promotes multiple difficulty levels and repeat runs, while PS4Blog describes a Walker Pit endless survival mode included in the Arcade Apocalypse Pack. The latter offers another solo challenge, but it does not add multiplayer.

Nintendo’s UK listing gives a release date of September 18, 2026, a 2.2 GB download size, TV, tabletop, and handheld modes, and a PEGI 16 rating. It lists English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese. Store details can vary with the Nintendo Account country setting. The Steam content descriptor identifies the game as a side-scrolling fighting game with human and non-human enemies and weapons, and warns of frequent blood and gore; Nintendo’s Switch 2 listing is the relevant source for the PEGI rating.
