Team T.N.T won the first Mask King Showdown at a reported The Vermilion Mask stage event during Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair (KYOMAF) 2026. The September 20 event brought anime cast members Taihi Kimura, Yuuki Yamamoto and Junya Enoki together with the series’ promotional ambassadors for a character discussion and a mask-identification quiz.
What happened at the KYOMAF stage?
The Outerhaven’s October 1, 2026 report says the special stage was held on September 20 at KYOMAF. Kimura, who voices Peru, appeared with Yamamoto (Sonarue) and Enoki (Zent), alongside T.N.T. The event also displayed handmade masks created by special-effects makeup artist Kanako Kitaochi and included video messages from the artists behind the anime’s opening and ending themes.
The report is the source for these event details; the official series sources corroborate the franchise background and T.N.T’s promotional role, but do not provide an event results page.
Who won the Mask King Showdown?
Team T.N.T beat the voice-actor team in a quiz where contestants identified masks shown on screen. The teams were tied after the first two questions. The report says the questions became more difficult after that, and T.N.T ultimately won the inaugural Mask King title. The prize was an assortment of Kyoto sweets.
