The Talos Principle III’s gameplay reveal trailer was released on October 8, 2026, and it is the first public look at the game in action. Croteam develops the game and Devolver Digital publishes it. It is listed for PC through Steam and for PS5 on the PlayStation Store. Neither official store page gives a release date: Steam says “Coming soon” and the PlayStation Store listing says “Release date to be determined.” Gematsu, which reported on the trailer, says the game is due in 2027. Treat that year as press reporting, not an official date.
What the trailer is, and what it does not show
The trailer is the game’s first gameplay reveal, published alongside Devolver Digital and Croteam’s announcement coverage on October 8, 2026. The sources available for this article describe the trailer’s release and the publisher’s feature list, but they do not include a scene-by-scene account of the footage. The mechanics and settings below therefore come from the official Steam listing, the official PlayStation Store listing, the official Steam announcement, and Gematsu’s reproduction of the publisher overview. None of them is tied to a specific moment in the video, so check the trailer itself for how any individual mechanic is presented.

The setting: the Anomaly
The official description places the protagonist in the Anomaly, a place where the laws of physics do not work as expected. The game is framed around increasingly complex puzzles and fragmented memories. Gematsu’s reproduction of the publisher overview adds crumbling temples and abandoned science outposts to that setting, and describes the explorer’s path through the history of the world humanity built.

What the publisher says the game includes
The publisher’s feature list is the most specific statement of content currently available. These are the publisher’s own descriptions, not independent evaluations of the finished game:
- Puzzles: a mix of new and familiar puzzle mechanics.
- Optional content: the pursuit of deeper secrets, which is described as optional.
- Story: a character-driven concluding chapter written by Jonas Kyratzes, Verena Kyratzes, and Tom Jubert.
- Setting: a future that spans a terraforming desert planet and the gardens of Elysium.
- Themes: an exploration of life, death, and the Sublime, and fragments of a future human history.
- Music: a new original soundtrack by Damjan Mravunac.
How the trilogy is framed
The official Steam announcement presents the series as three chapters in the history of robotic humanity. It makes a comparison between the first two games and this one, stating: “Just as Talos II was not the same game as Talos I, so this last game in the series will be unique in its own ways.” The announcement does not name an individual speaker, so attribute that line to the official announcement rather than to a named developer.

Steam lists single-player support for the PC version. The 2027 timing comes from Gematsu, not from either store.

The Steam listing publishes both a minimum and a recommended specification. These are store-published figures and can change before release.

- Editions: no editions or versions have been confirmed in the official listings.
- Other platforms: no Xbox or Nintendo version has been announced in the sources reviewed.
- Physical release: the official listings do not identify a physical edition.
- Figures and quotes: no sales figures, player counts, or named developer quotes about the trailer appear in the official listings or the trailer coverage reviewed.
Until Steam or the PlayStation Store posts a date, the only year on record is Gematsu’s 2027 report.

The reader should watch for three things next: a dated store announcement, a finalized requirements list on Steam, and a confirmed edition list on either storefront.
The trailer answers the question of what the game looks like in motion only at a general level. The publisher describes the content, the official pages set the platform list, and the timing remains unconfirmed.
