The Steam demo has also returned, and the developer says demo saves carry over to the full game. The patch notes do not give an official total for the fixes.
Is The Sinking City 2 Steam demo back?
Yes. In its October 6, 2026 Steam announcement, Frogwares said the Steam demo was back and available, with saves carrying over to the full game. The announcement does not say how long the demo will remain available.

What Update 1.1.0 adds and changes
HDR and graphics options
Frogwares’ patch notes specify HDR output for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The developer says HDR follows the system’s HDR setting, rather than being forced on when that setting is disabled. The notes also list HDR10+, multi-monitor HDR support on PC, and an in-game brightness calibration screen with a peak-brightness range of up to 500 nits on all displays. That figure is Frogwares’ specification, not an independent measurement.
For PC graphics settings, the update adds AMD FSR 4.1.1 and a legacy mode for NVIDIA DLSS. The notes also list a fix for a visual glitch that could occur when switching DLSS off during gameplay at 4K and 1440p. Frogwares does not provide benchmark results, so the notes do not establish a particular performance gain.

Encounter and combat adjustments
The update retunes encounters in “The Wake-Up Call,” “A Sight for Sore Eyes,” “Time and Tide,” and “Cold Comfort.” Frogwares says enemy counts and wave compositions were reduced in fights players had found overwhelming. Explosive props are easier to read visually; explosive gas cans and the grenade launcher deal more damage; and the wait before a Slither weak point becomes vulnerable is shorter.
New outfits and progression changes
Calvin gets two outfits: The Warlock and The King in Yellow. After completing the game, players can start a Pure New Game. The patch also changes how upgrades carry into Ex Oblivione and awards Dream Essence when a player finds an upgrade they already own.

Does the update really include “over 150 fixes”?
GamingShogun’s October 6, 2026 report describes the update as having “over 150 fixes.” Frogwares’ opened Steam patch notes do not state an aggregate fix count, so that number should be attributed to GamingShogun rather than presented as an official total. The same secondary report mentions PlayStation Plus and Xbox trials; the official announcement does not confirm those trials.

One support-site caveat
Frogwares Support currently lists a known-issues note saying that changing settings midgame may cause visual glitches. Because the support listing may not reflect the state after Update 1.1.0, it is best read as guidance surfaced on the support site, not confirmation that this remains an unresolved 1.1.0 defect. The newer Steam patch notes list AMD FSR 4.1.1; an older support answer saying FSR was not supported predates this update.
