Games Workshop’s 13 October 2026 Rumour Engine post shows skulls embedded in broken stones, but it does not identify whose skulls they are or what the stones belong to. The image is an unresolved teaser—not a confirmed faction, model, or release announcement.
What Games Workshop has confirmed
The official Warhammer Community post, The Rumour Engine – 13th of October, is dated 13 October 2026. It describes the image as showing skulls set into broken stones and asks: “But whose skulls? And what’s that they’re embedded in?”

Games Workshop introduces the image with: “Skulls! The very bedrock upon which Warhammer is based. Well, skulls and hammers, but this week’s Rumour Engine is definitely showing us skulls.” The post does not name a setting, faction, character, kit, or product. It also gives no release name, price, preorder date, or availability details.

What the Rumour Engine is—and what this post does not prove
The Rumour Engine page describes the series as a place to “See hints of upcoming Warhammer releases.” That explains the purpose of the feature, but it does not confirm that this particular image corresponds to any specific forthcoming item. The post itself leaves the clue unresolved.

How to assess possible interpretations
The image and accompanying text establish two details: skulls and broken stones. A useful theory should account for both rather than relying on the skulls alone. The post supplies no official comparison or answer, so readers cannot use it to verify one interpretation over another.
