In a video published on May 19, 2021, Outdoor Edge described the RazorLite EDC’s blade as Japanese 420J2 stainless steel, heat treated and hand finished, and its blade holder as black-oxide-coated. The video also described a double-molded Grivory handle with rubberized TPR inserts, a double-sided thumb stud and a replaceable pocket clip. It listed orange, blue and gray handle options at that time; that does not confirm which colors or configurations are currently sold.

Check blade length and replacement compatibility
Do not assume every RazorLite EDC variant takes the same replacement blade. A third-party catalog lists 3.0-inch models and a six-blade pack identified for 3.0-inch models, but it is not a current manufacturer compatibility guide. Before buying, match the exact knife model and blade length to the replacement pack on Outdoor Edge’s current listing or confirm compatibility with the manufacturer.

Cleaning still matters
A replaceable blade does not remove the need to clean the knife. In a January 2026 Reddit discussion, one user reported that dirt or food can collect beneath the blade holder and that the blade may need to be removed for cleaning. That is an individual report, not evidence that every knife develops this issue. Follow the manufacturer’s current instructions for safe blade removal and cleaning.

The trade-off is dependence on a compatible consumable: consider ongoing replacement cost and availability alongside the knife’s blade length and the tasks you expect it to handle. A conventional knife avoids that particular replacement-pack requirement but generally relies on sharpening or sharpening service to restore its edge.
