What to do in “The Play’s the Thing”
Geralt and Priscilla create a play to signal to Dudu that it is safe to come out of hiding. Take the finished script to Madame Irina Renarde at her theater, prepare the troupe, choose the cast, then perform the play. Its title can change the title printed on the script, but it does not change the correct performance lines.

Which lines are correct?
During the performance, choose the timed dialogue option whose opening matches each line below, in order. The fourth line may be worded slightly differently in the game; look for the “base heart” option.

Performance-line rewards
These amounts are the reward for the line choices, not the full quest payout. Other experience and crowns may come from completing the quest and making separate preparation or casting choices.

Should you choose comedy or drama?
Choose comedy if you want the performance to end without a fight. Choosing drama (sometimes described as melodrama) provokes hostile audience members and leads to combat after the show. The genre does not change which five lines are correct.
How to prepare the performance
Hire ushers
Hiring the dockside strongmen as ushers is mandatory. You can pay them or settle their wager by winning the fistfight described during the encounter.

Recruit the Puffins for publicity
Finding the Puffins and resolving their trouble with a gang is optional. If you help them, they publicize the play and provide additional experience and crowns. The reported approaches to their encounter still end in a fight; using Axii is described as a way to earn additional experience.
