The Odyssey is available to preorder in physical editions identified as standard, steelbook and premium collector’s edition steelbook, but the reported $300 price and the U.S. collector’s set contents are not confirmed by an authoritative listing in the available information. A German retailer does list a separate collector’s edition for €69.99, with a three-disc steelbook and printed extras; those details should not be assumed to apply to the U.S. product.
What is available to preorder
Amazon product pages for The Odyssey were linked on October 13, 2026, under three labels: Standard, Regular Steelbook and Premium Collector’s Edition Steelbook. The discussion linking them said artwork and details were not yet available, so those labels alone do not verify disc formats, included extras, release or delivery terms, price, or current stock. The community post is a lead to product pages, not an authoritative source for their final specifications.

In particular, the phrase “$300 box set” appears in user-generated preorder discussion; it does not establish an official U.S. price. Check the live listing from an authorized seller before ordering or treating that amount as confirmed. The exact U.S. collector’s package contents and terms are not established here.
What is confirmed about the collector’s edition
PLAION Pictures Shop lists a German-market collector’s edition with 4K UHD and two Blu-rays. The listing specifies a three-disc steelbook, a 60-page production booklet, four art cards and a double-sided mini-poster. When accessed, it showed a price of €69.99 and expected delivery on the November 18, 2026 release date. Check PLAION Pictures Shop for the German listing; retailer prices, availability and delivery terms can change.

- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
That is a German retailer’s product, not evidence of what a U.S. “Premium Collector’s Edition Steelbook” contains or costs. Market, currency, format, included items and release terms can differ. Do not use the German listing to fill in missing U.S. specifications.

If you mainly want to watch the film, a standard edition may meet that need; a steelbook or collector’s package makes sense if its packaging and specific physical extras are worth the added cost to you. A higher price by itself does not establish better picture quality, more bonus content or better value. The relevant comparison is the one between the verified contents and the price you will actually pay.

IMAX Corporation said on July 20, 2026, that the film was the first theatrical release shot entirely with IMAX 70mm film cameras. The company reported $52 million in worldwide IMAX opening-weekend revenue, equal to 20% of the film’s global debut. It also reported $6.3 million in weekend box office from 41 IMAX 70mm locations, a $153,000 average per IMAX 70mm screen, and 2.1 million feet of IMAX film shot. These are IMAX’s company-reported figures about theatrical performance and production, not home-media sales or collector’s-edition specifications. IMAX’s July 20 release is the source for those figures.
The film’s IMAX production does not, by itself, confirm the aspect ratio, transfer, sound options or other technical specifications of any particular 4K UHD or Blu-ray edition. Look for those details on the exact disc listing or packaging before buying; do not infer them from the theatrical camera format.
