What happened to The Money Factory?
The company’s official shutdown notice says: “After careful consideration, The Money Factory has permanently ceased operations as of August 9, 2026.” It says the service is not accepting new registrations, purchases, or gameplay. This is a closure, not a temporary app outage or a sign-up problem.

The notice says player accounts, balances, and pending redemption requests have been recorded and preserved. It does not say that pending redemptions will be paid, establish when any payment might arrive, or provide a payout schedule.

A GameChampions review updated September 18, 2026 described The Money Factory as having no dedicated iOS or Android app and said people historically accessed it through a mobile website. That is a description of how access worked before shutdown, not a way to play now: the company says gameplay ended on August 9, 2026.

What should former players do about balances or redemptions?
The company directs people with questions or requests for copies of account records to [email protected]. If you contact the company, include enough information to identify your account, but avoid sending passwords or payment-card details by email. Keep your own copies of relevant account messages and redemption records. The shutdown notice does not specify a response time or guarantee a particular outcome.
What did Illinois regulators say?
The Illinois Gaming Board’s February 4, 2026 letter addressed the service’s availability to Illinois users. The Board said it had observed The Money Factory offering slots and table games over the internet and mobile devices, with chances to win cash, gift cards, and other prizes. The letter stated: “The IGB has neither licensed nor authorized The Money Factory to engage in online gambling activity.” It demanded that the company block Illinois residents or discontinue prize offerings. These are the Board’s statements and demands regarding Illinois, not a nationwide finding.

What do customer reviews establish about payouts?
Trustpilot’s profile, accessed October 7, 2026, showed a 3.0 TrustScore from 5,812 reviews. The profile included individual reports of lengthy redemption delays and unpaid requests, as well as a June 2026 reviewer who said a redemption had been sent. These are reviewers’ self-reported experiences, not independently verified payment records or a representative survey. Trustpilot identifies reviews as reviewers’ opinions and notes that the company had not recently invited reviews. The score and review count therefore should not be treated as a verified payout rate or a reliable prediction of an individual claim’s outcome.
