What is Echoes of Hyrule?
Gaming ProMax reported on September 21, 2026, that Game Press announced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Hyrule as a fan-created hardcover book, not a Nintendo product. The report describes a 332-page retelling of Ocarina of Time that follows supporting characters who are usually in the background, with Link serving as a connecting figure rather than the central protagonist. Its stories are said to run chronologically, beginning before the game’s events and reaching beyond Hyrule. The report names Anna-Victòria Teixidó, who writes as Kurusonna, as the author. Why the title can be confusing
Nintendo announced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom during its June 18, 2024 Nintendo Direct. That separate Nintendo Switch game launched on September 26, 2024. Nintendo’s announcement described Zelda using the Tri Rod to create echoes—imitations of objects in the environment—to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.
