Why a universal preset would be misleading

Open Windows Settings and check that you are running a 64-bit edition of Windows 10 or a newer 64-bit Windows release. The Steam listing explicitly requires a 64-bit processor and operating system. A 32-bit installation is outside the published requirement even if the computer has enough memory.

Use Windows’ system information, Task Manager or your manufacturer’s specifications to identify your processor, installed RAM and graphics hardware. Compare them with the stated Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM and DirectX 11-or-later minimums. Because no Core i5 generation or GPU model is given, record the exact parts rather than treating the minimum as a performance forecast.
3. Leave installation headroom
Steam lists 8 GB of available storage. Keep more free space than that figure so the installation, updates and Windows’ temporary files are not competing for the last few gigabytes. The extra space is a practical precaution, not an additional requirement published by IzanagiGames.

4. Make sure you are evaluating the current Steam build
IzanagiGames’ Steam community announcement dated September 17 says the Steam release was postponed. The announcement also says the publisher planned improvements to text display and controls and fixes for minor bugs, but it does not give settings values. Because a postponed release can be followed by patches, check the version currently installed through Steam before relying on advice written for an earlier build.
A safe first-launch process
The following process avoids pretending that undocumented options exist. It gives you a repeatable way to discover what your copy offers and to isolate changes.

- Start with the game’s defaults. Open the options menu and write down every display, graphics, accessibility and input item that is actually present. Do not substitute settings from another game or from a video showing a different build.
- Record the display state. Note the selected display mode, resolution, refresh rate, quality labels, synchronization controls and any frame-rate limit if those labels appear. If an item is absent, mark it “not available in this build” rather than assuming a hidden value.
- Play a representative scene. Use the same location and activity for each comparison. A live-action scene with subtitles, rapid cuts or several overlays may stress different parts of the system than a quiet menu.
- Change one item at a time. Apply one change, return to the same scene and observe smoothness, image clarity, loading behavior and text readability. Changing several controls together prevents you from knowing which adjustment helped or hurt.
- Keep a rollback note. Record the original value before each change. If the game becomes unstable or less readable, restore the previous value instead of guessing at a new combination.
This method produces a personal, hardware-specific profile without presenting it as an official recommendation. It is especially important while the actual options menu remains undocumented by the publisher.
Choosing between controller and keyboard
Controller
Steam advertises full controller support and specifically lists Xbox controllers. If you prefer a gamepad, connect it before launching and confirm that the game detects it in its input or controls screen. Check every action you use regularly, including movement, camera or selection controls, menu navigation and any quick-time or dialogue input the game presents.
A PC game controller or Xbox controller for PC is an optional way to use the confirmed compatibility; no specific model has been tested or established as the best choice. Keyboard-only play
The listing identifies a keyboard-only option. Select it only if that mode appears in your build, then verify the complete set of actions rather than assuming a standard layout. The exact key map is not published, so note the displayed bindings and remap only the actions that are difficult to reach.

- Choose the device that lets you navigate menus and respond to prompts without missed inputs.
- Use the on-screen prompts and the bindings shown by your copy as the authority; do not rely on a layout from a different platform.
- If both devices are connected, check which one the game treats as primary and whether prompts change when you touch the other device.
Text readability and accessibility
The publisher’s September 17 announcement says it planned improvements to text display. That statement does not specify a font-size control, subtitle scale, contrast mode or language option. Look for those controls in your installed build, but do not assume they exist because an announcement mentioned improvements.
If text is difficult to read, work through this order:
- Check whether the game offers text, subtitle or display-size controls and apply the smallest change that makes dialogue legible.
- If the game has no text-size option, try the display modes and resolutions that it actually lists, returning to the same dialogue scene after each change.

If the game feels uneven
- Repeat the same scene after closing browsers, recording tools and other applications that consume CPU, memory or GPU resources.

If you try it on a Deck, record the SteamOS version, Proton choice, display mode, controls and the exact symptoms. Do not present your result as official compatibility, and do not infer that a successful launch means every Deck configuration will work.

It should also separate image-quality choices from accessibility choices. A setting that improves subtitle readability may not affect frame rate, while a graphics option may change performance without helping text. Controller recommendations should identify the tested device and explain whether the game’s native support or a remapping layer was used.
