In 2026, Expert Reviews names the Eufy Omni E25 its best overall, Vacuum Wars ranks the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete first on its leaderboard, and RTINGS recommends the Roborock Saros 10R. Those are separate reviewers’ picks, not winners of one controlled comparison. The right choice depends on your floors, pets, clutter, mopping needs, dock space and local price.
What is the best robot vacuum in 2026?
Start with the candidate that matches the work you need done, rather than treating any one publication’s “best overall” label as a universal verdict. The reviewers used different test methods and model pools, and their guides cover different markets.

| Model | Best fit | What the cited reviewer says | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eufy Omni E25 | A broad all-rounder with vacuuming, mopping and an automated dock | Expert Reviews named it best overall in its UK guide. In that publication’s 2026 tests, it collected 90% of flour, rice and dog hair on hard floor and carpet. | Its base is bulky. Expert Reviews listed a £849 review price; that is not a guarantee of today’s UK price or availability elsewhere. |
| MOVA V70 Ultra Complete | Buyers seeking extensive mop and dock automation | Vacuum Wars ranked it first on its leaderboard updated September 30, 2026, with a score of 4.08. | Its 42,000 Pa suction figure is manufacturer-rated, not a directly comparable measured cleaning result. Vacuum Wars’ listed prices can change. |
| Roborock Saros 10R | Hard floors and mopping, with obstacle avoidance as a priority | RTINGS’ 2026 premium all-round recommendation; it reports strong hard-floor cleaning, effective dried-stain mopping, and consistent cable and toy avoidance. | RTINGS identifies embedded pet hair on carpet as a weakness. |
| Eufy E20 | Value buyers who also want a handheld or stick vacuum | Expert Reviews named it best value in its UK guide. It has LiDAR and a self-emptying station. | No mop, and Expert Reviews says it lacks anti-tangle and is competent rather than best in a single category. The guide’s £250 review price may not be current. |
| Eufy Omni S2 | A premium alternative for buyers prioritizing mopping | Expert Reviews reports very high results in its own rice-and-flour spill tests and strong mop performance. | The guide identifies price as its major drawback. Its test percentages should not be compared directly with another publisher’s results. |
| Roborock Saros 20 Neo | Homes where object and pet detection and a low profile matter | Expert Reviews praises its detection and low profile. | The same guide notes inconsistent cleaning and a potentially confusing app. This is a different model from the Saros 10R. |
Vacuum Wars also calls the Ecovacs T80S Omni its best value and the T90 Pro Omni its best budget option in the guide updated September 30, 2026. Those labels come from that leaderboard, not a shared head-to-head test with the other models in this table.
How to choose a robot vacuum for your home
Match the robot to your floors
For a home with mostly hard flooring, prioritize hard-floor pickup and, if you want it, tested mopping. If you have rugs or carpet, look for model-specific carpet results, especially deep-cleaning performance. A high suction specification alone does not establish how well a robot removes embedded dirt.
#1 Best Overall
- 【2-in-1 Mopping and Vacuuming】 The ROPVACNIC Robot S1 integrates advanced electronically controlled mopping technology, significantly enhancing both cleaning efficiency and effectiveness, which makes your floors remain free from footprints, dirt, and dust throughout the day. It features an upgraded high-capacity water tank with a four-stage personalized water adjustment system, enabling it to address various stains across different settings according to user requirements.
- 【Comprehensive Intelligent Control】 Multiple Cleaning Modes, combined with personalized settings, allow you to easily accomplish various household cleaning tasks with zero effort from your smartphone. Moreover, by voice commands, you can start your cleaning while kicking back and relaxing (compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant). Enjoy an utterly hands-free cleaning experience.
- 【5200Pa Powerful Suction】A 3-point cleaning system coupled with strong suction ensures your floors are free from all dirt, dust, and crumbs for a thorough, superior clean. The highly passable compact design combined with 3-level suction facilitates cleaning in hard-to-reach areas where you can't, making it suitable for a wide range of surfaces from wood, and hard floors to low pile carpets.
- 【Smarter High Automation & Self-Recharge】 The robot aspiradora is equipped with an advanced high-coverage sensing system and multiple algorithmic data points, enabling autonomous completion of cleaning tasks—from scheduled starting, detecting obstacles, adjusting direction, and switching modes, to automatically returning to recharge. This hassle-free operation ensures a clean home when you return.
- 【Engineered for Pet Owner】 The exclusive no-entanglement design negates the need for your dirty hands to clean up tangled dog or cat hair, unlike traditional roller brushes. Its dual rotating electric side brushes sweep and collect hidden pet hair more efficiently throughout the house, saving you the hassle.
Expert Reviews describes a 58 m² test floorplan using 50 g each of rice and flour plus 5 g of pet hair, with collection measured on carpet and hard floor. Treat the E25’s 90% result as that model’s result under Expert Reviews’ procedure—not as a forecast for every home or a score directly comparable with another publisher’s test.
If you have pets, distinguish hair pickup from avoidance
Pet-hair pickup and hair-tangle resistance are different from recognizing an obstacle. Check both kinds of evidence: a robot may avoid some cables or toys yet still struggle with fur woven into carpet. RTINGS specifically flags embedded pet hair on carpet as a Saros 10R weakness; households with shedding pets and rugs should consider keeping a conventional vacuum for periodic deeper cleaning.
Vacuum Wars says its 2026 testing suite includes pet-hair pickup and hair-tangle tests, plus obstacle avoidance across 24 objects. That test breadth is useful context, but obstacle recognition cannot guarantee avoidance of every cable, toy or pet mess in a particular home.

Buy mopping only if it addresses a real chore
A “vacuum and mop” label does not tell you how well a robot handles dried stains or how much maintenance its mop system requires. Look for a named stain test, whether wet pads can be kept off rugs, and what the dock and user must do to maintain the system. Consumer NZ’s 2026 guide describes tests of common stains on mop-equipped models; RTINGS also evaluates dried-stain mopping.
Weigh dock automation against space and upkeep
Self-emptying and mop-washing docks can reduce routine handling, but they occupy floor space and add components that need care. Before buying, check dock dimensions, water handling, dust-bag or bin requirements, and ongoing consumables such as filters, brushes and mop pads. Expert Reviews calls the E25’s base bulky; RTINGS treats maintenance and recurring costs as comparison factors.
Check navigation against your actual rooms
Low furniture, thresholds, cable clutter, rugs, dark surfaces and reflective surfaces can affect a robot’s operation. RTINGS advises removing small obstacles and thick shag rugs, and warns that sensors are not foolproof. If your home has awkward transitions or cluttered floor areas, plan for some preparation rather than assuming mapping or obstacle avoidance will solve every problem.

Verify the exact model and local listing
The recommendations span a UK buying guide, US-oriented rankings and New Zealand testing. Names, suffixes, configurations, prices, warranties and consumable compatibility can vary by market. Confirm that a local listing is the exact model reviewed and that its replacement parts are available before purchase. The prices in these guides are review or live-listing figures, not a stable cross-market comparison.
What the 2026 test counts do—and do not—show
The published numbers describe each outlet’s testing work; they are not market-wide statistics or proof that a robot will perform identically in every home.
- Vacuum Wars: Its guide, updated September 30, 2026, says it has tested more than 205 robot vacuums. Its 2026 suite includes suction and airflow, carpet deep cleaning, hard-floor and crevice pickup, pet hair and tangles, navigation coverage, obstacle avoidance across 24 objects, and mopping across 14 dried stains.
- Expert Reviews: Its guide, updated September 28, 2026, describes repeatable domestic-setting tests on a 58 m² floorplan, using 50 g each of rice and flour and 5 g of pet hair.
- RTINGS: Its guide, updated August 7, 2026, says the recommendations draw on over 80 models. The page separately says it has tested over 95 robot vacuums; these are differently worded counts and should not be collapsed into one exact total. RTINGS also says it buys every test unit and keeps products in its lab for retesting.
Since the publications test different selections of models with different procedures and scoring systems, their percentages and scores are not a common ranking scale.
When a robot vacuum is not enough
Robot vacuums are best treated as maintenance cleaners for recurring, lighter cleaning—not a complete replacement for a full-size vacuum. RTINGS notes that heavier debris and deeper carpet work still call for a conventional vacuum. That distinction matters most in homes with plush carpet, persistent pet hair or larger cleaning jobs.
