- TechRadar, in an update dated October 5, 2026, names the LG C6 its best 65-inch TV.
- Tom’s Guide describes the LG B6 as a value and entry-level pick and reports promotional pricing on it. Promotions of this kind can end without notice.
Each publication is judging a different mix of picture quality, price and features. A top pick in one guide is not a contradiction of another guide’s pick; it reflects a different priority.

Choosing by what you need
Bright living room
If the TV will sit opposite a window or in a room with lamps and daylight, reflection handling matters more than peak dark-room picture quality. For film-focused viewing, the Sony BRAVIA 8 II is the model that What Hi-Fi recommends overall, and RTINGS points to it for viewers who care most about Dolby Vision and image processing. Check that the set supports the HDR formats your streaming services and discs use before you commit.

The S95H is the model with the clearest stated gaming specification in these sources: four HDMI 2.1 ports and support for up to 4K at 165Hz. If you plan to connect a current console and a PC, count the HDMI 2.1 ports you need and confirm the exact resolution and refresh rate supported by the specific size and region you are buying.

Value
A discounted older model can beat a newer one on price-to-performance. What Hi-Fi says the C6 improves on the C5 in several picture areas, but still considers a discounted C5 the better value at the time of its guide. The LG B6 is the entry-level option Tom’s Guide highlights. Whether these deals still exist when you read this is a question only current retail listings can answer.
Screen size
LG’s C6 has the widest size range among the models discussed, from 42 to 83 inches. The 65-inch C6 is the size TechRadar singles out. The S95H is available in 55, 65, 77 and 83 inches. Match the size to your viewing distance and wall or stand space, not to the largest set your budget allows.

Naming and configuration traps
Samsung S95H may be sold as S99H
RTINGS notes that the S95H is known as the S99H in some regions. Check the model number on the box or the manufacturer’s regional product page before comparing prices, because a search for one name can miss listings under the other.

What Hi-Fi confirmed with LG that the 77- and 83-inch C6 models use Brightness Booster Pro. It could not confirm the panel technology of the 48-inch C6 and only inferred it. Until LG publishes that detail, treat the 48-inch C6’s panel specification as unconfirmed.
Launch prices are not shelf prices
The C6 figures above come from LG’s launch announcement. They show what LG proposed at launch, not what a retailer charges this month. Compare live prices from authorized retailers and check whether a discount applies to the exact size and region you want.
