The P1S figures are not directly comparable: Tom’s Hardware reported a $369 Bambu Lab listing and a separate $499.99 Amazon listing with AMS, while TechRadar’s September 30 article listed the P1S at $579 at Bambu Lab. The coverage does not establish whether the difference reflects timing, bundle contents, or another listing distinction. Match the SKU and included equipment before judging the price.
Choose by the work you want to print
Decide between filament and resin
FDM printers make objects from filament; resin printers use liquid resin and a different workflow. The sale examples above are mostly FDM models, so a low price on one of them is not automatically the right deal if your projects call for resin printing.

Match build volume to your largest regular project
Build volume sets the maximum space available for a print. For example, the reported A1 dimensions are 256 × 256 × 256 mm, the K1C 2025 is listed at 220 × 220 × 250 mm, and the H2D AMS Combo at 350 × 320 × 325 mm. Compare all three dimensions with the objects you expect to make; a larger advertised volume is useful only if your projects need it.
Check enclosure and material needs
An enclosure may matter for projects involving higher-temperature materials, but an enclosed design alone does not establish that every material is supported. Confirm the manufacturer’s guidance for the specific printer and filament you plan to use.

Separate the printer from multi-material equipment
Do not assume a printer price includes a multi-material system. Tom’s Hardware distinguishes the P1S from its P1S-with-AMS Amazon listing, and TechRadar says the A1 Mini’s multi-color option uses the Combo version with AMS Lite. Check whether the equipment you want is included or sold separately.

Compare the same configuration across stores
Manufacturer-direct pricing can compete with Amazon pricing, and deal coverage also checks retailers such as Best Buy and Newegg. Compare like with like rather than choosing the listing with the biggest claimed discount.

- Identify the exact model and bundle. Record the model name, generation, included accessories, and any AMS or other multi-material equipment.
- Compare seller and total cost. Check the seller, region, shipping, and any accessories needed for the setup you want. Confirm that the listing is for the intended printer rather than a bundle or a different variant.
- Check the current price and availability. These reported prices were published at different times and are not synchronized live quotes. A listing may change or sell out.
- Use price history, not the discount label alone. Creative Bloq advises tracking the specific model and checking its price history. The reported “was” prices are retailer deal claims, not independent proof of a historical low.
- Decide whether to buy now or wait. Black Friday follows more than a month after this October event, but the available coverage cannot predict whether any particular printer will be cheaper then.
Budget for compatible supplies, not speculative add-ons
Filament or resin is directly relevant to printing, while nozzles, hot ends, spare parts, and other accessories can be useful when they match your machine. Check compatibility and buy only what fits your intended use.
Supply promotions are separate from printer offers. Creative Bloq’s October 6 live coverage reported up to 50% off some TPU and PLA Pure materials in Bambu Lab’s Halloween sale; TechRadar separately reported up to 30% off supplies. Those are different source-reported claims, so check the current store listing and sale terms rather than assuming either discount applies to every supply.
