The advertised $1,440 saving on a “4K gaming rig” with 64GB of DDR5 RAM and a 4TB SSD is not verified by the available product listings. The closest match is a gaming laptop with a different reported discount, so don’t assume it is the machine in the headline or that the claimed saving is real.
What is—and isn’t—verified about the offer
Searches conducted on October 13, 2026, did not identify an original retailer offer that ties a named product, seller, current price and reference price to the headline’s $1,440 saving. The exact machine and markdown therefore remain unverified. Deal pricing and stock can change, so a claimed discount should be checked against the offer at checkout rather than inferred from a similar configuration.

The closest specification match is PC Guide’s report on an MSI Raider 18 HX: an RTX 5090 mobile GPU, Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX, 64GB of DDR5 memory, a 4TB SSD and a 4K mini-LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. PC Guide reported a $500 discount and said its prices were correct as of August 20, 2026. That makes it a relevant example, not proof that the laptop is the product behind the headline.
Similar memory and storage do not make these equivalent rigs
Other listings share some headline specifications but differ in graphics hardware, screen or form factor. Their reported discounts do not establish a $1,440 saving on the advertised machine.

The reported markdowns come from deal coverage, not independent measurements of savings. A crossed-out reference price alone does not show what the computer currently costs or whether that reference price is meaningful.
How to assess a 4K gaming PC or laptop deal
Confirm the exact model and seller
Find the original retailer listing and match its full model name and configuration to the deal description. Confirm who sells and ships it; a product name alone may not identify the exact configuration or seller.
Rank #2
- POWERHOUSE 8-CORE GAMING PERFORMANCE — Driven by the AMD Ryzen 7 8700F with 8 cores and 16 threads, boosting up to 5.0 GHz for smooth, responsive gameplay and the ability to handle AAA titles, streaming, and background tasks all at once
- NEXT-GEN BLACKWELL ARCHITECTURE — The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 is powered by NVIDIA's cutting-edge Blackwell GPU architecture, delivering a massive generational leap in rasterization and ray tracing performance so you can experience your games the way they were meant to be played.
- Simplistic Design: Enjoy the latest generation of Windows 11 Home for your everyday needs. *MSI recommends Windows 11 Pro for business use.
- Cool While Gaming: In conjunction with an ARGB fan Air Cooler, the Codex R2 features four system cooling fans; three in the front and one in the rear to pull in cool air and push heat out of the PC.
- Turn on the Bright Lights: With the built-in RGB lighting, take your gaming experience to the next level by pressing the MSI LED button to cycle through lighting options. Customize lighting even further with MSI Center software.
Check graphics and display together
For a laptop, verify the built-in panel’s resolution and refresh rate, not just a page headline that says “4K.” For a desktop, check whether a monitor is included; the Skytech configuration is a desktop, so its listing does not establish an included 4K display. GPU model and actual display resolution and refresh rate are more useful for assessing a 4K gaming setup than RAM and storage capacities on their own.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteVerify the price and terms at checkout
- Compare the current checkout price with the stated reference price and make sure the claimed reduction is calculated from those figures.
- Check stock, seller, warranty coverage and return terms on the listing you would actually buy.
- Recheck the total before paying: a deal page’s reported price may no longer be available.
Are 64GB of RAM and a 4TB SSD necessary?
The deal reports establish that these configurations exist; they do not show that 64GB of RAM or 4TB of storage is necessary for every gamer. Treat those capacities as configuration details to weigh against the exact computer’s price and your needs, not as proof that a system is a good 4K gaming deal.
