It includes major manga spoilers, including fights that may not yet be animated. The order is an editorial judgment—not an official franchise ranking—based on fight craft, tactical clarity, emotional payoff, and consequences for the story. A powerful opponent or a big spectacle alone does not make a fight the best.
How this ranking works
Animated fights can earn their place through movement, direction, sound, and timing; manga fights rely on composition, panel flow, and how clearly they communicate strategy. The entries below are judged across those different strengths, along with their emotional and narrative impact. Readers who favor one medium may reasonably order them differently: fan discussions nominate many of the same encounters but do not establish a settled consensus.

Anime episode references below use the series’ official season catalogues for orientation. The battle index is a fan-maintained reference, so episode spans are not treated as proof of quality or as a substitute for the official listings. The official Season 1 episode catalogue lists episodes 1–24, while the official Season 2 catalogue lists episodes 25–47.
The 10 best Jujutsu Kaisen fights
-
Gojo vs. Sukuna
The clash between the series’ two most powerful figures earns the top spot for tactical escalation and stakes. Its appeal is not simply that both fighters can unleash enormous power: the contest keeps changing as each tries to outthink and counter the other. This is manga-spoiler territory. The fan discussion includes the matchup among its leading nominations, though readers disagree about where it belongs.

-
Yuji and Todo vs. Mahito
This fight turns teamwork into a constantly adapting tactic. Yuji and Todo have distinct approaches, and their coordination gives the exchange both momentum and emotional weight. The battle index places it across episodes 43–46, within the official Season 2 catalogue.
-
Gojo vs. Toji
The Hidden Inventory confrontation is a compact reversal-and-rematch sequence with a major consequence for Gojo’s character. It makes the gap between confidence and preparedness matter, then gives the encounter a lasting effect beyond the immediate outcome. The battle index associates it with episodes 27–28, which are included in the official Season 2 catalogue.
Rank #2
-
Hakari vs. Kashimo
A manga-centered contest built around unusual abilities and shifting tactical pressure. Its mechanics make the fight rewarding for readers who enjoy following how a rule or advantage can reshape an exchange. Fan readers nominate it often, but that enthusiasm is anecdotal rather than evidence of a consensus ranking.

Sukuna vs. Mahoraga
This Shibuya confrontation is one of the series’ most imposing displays of destructive scale. The spectacle serves a story purpose, too: it shows what Sukuna can do when the fight becomes a test of how much devastation the battlefield can absorb. The battle index associates the fight with episode 40, which appears in the official Season 2 catalogue.
Rank #3
-
Yuji vs. Choso
A close-quarters fight that stands out for its direction and an unusual turning point. Its strength is not just a comparison of physical ability; the encounter changes meaning as it unfolds, making the tension depend on more than who appears to have the advantage. Fan discussion frequently singles it out.
-
Yuji and Todo vs. Hanami
This Goodwill Event team fight is a clear example of tactical interplay: Yuji and Todo’s different strengths become more effective together. Its anime version benefits from the movement and timing of the exchange, while the underlying appeal is the way collaboration changes the fight. The official Season 1 catalogue includes the relevant episodes 19–20.
Rank #4
-
Yuta’s Sendai Colony battles
Rather than one isolated duel, this entry treats Yuta’s interconnected clashes in Sendai as a single sequence. The manga gives the encounters room to build through multiple opponents and competing abilities, so the appeal lies in how the battles connect and how Yuta responds as the situation develops. This is manga material in the scope of this ranking; fan readers also name Sendai among their favorites.

Megumi vs. Reggie Star
One of the strongest choices for readers who value planning over spectacle. The fight makes the environment and the rules of the opponents’ abilities part of the problem to solve. Fan comments praise the manga version’s tactical quality and note that extended explanations can affect the feel of an adaptation.

-
Sukuna vs. Jogo
A short, decisive clash that sets Jogo’s ambition against Sukuna’s overwhelming power. Its brevity is part of its effect: the encounter establishes a stark difference in scale without needing to stretch into a prolonged contest. The battle index places it at episode 40, the same episode associated with Sukuna vs. Mahoraga; they are separate encounters, not one fight.
Other fights that could make the list
A different weighting of emotional range and narrative consequence could make room for Yuji and Nanami vs. Mahito or Yuki and Choso vs. Kenjaku. Fan readers nominate both, but their preferences vary. These are alternatives, not evidence that there is an objectively correct top ten.
Where the manga ends
The original manga is complete. VIZ identifies Jujutsu Kaisen, Vol. 30 as the final volume and describes the climax there as Itadori’s final battle with Sukuna. That is useful context for readers deciding whether to continue in print, but Volume 30 should not be mistaken for a collection of the other fights on this list.
