Attack of the Fanboy reported on October 1, 2026, on a post by Reddit user Lonely_Carpenter6048 in r/mildlyinfuriating. The article reproduced the poster’s caption: “Wasted 35 minutes and paid $29 to get Thai food with mould!” Those figures describe one customer’s account, not an independently verified order record or a broader measure of restaurant service.
The report described the accompanying photo as showing wide rice noodles, greens and two citrus wedges, one bearing a blue-green patch. It does not identify the restaurant or its location.
How the restaurant reportedly responded
According to the poster as quoted in the report, staff said the patch was paper and declined a refund, responding, “It’s paper. no refund!” The poster said they then argued with a manager for about 15 minutes before the manager agreed to exchange the order.

Does the report establish that the food had mould?
No. It establishes only that the poster complained about a blue-green patch on a citrus wedge and described it as mould. The article does not determine what the substance was. It also does not establish that the noodles or other food were contaminated, or that any food-safety rule was violated.
