Shanghai-based Infinigence AI has reportedly filed confidentially for a Hong Kong IPO and could list as early as the first half of 2027, Bloomberg reported on October 1, 2026, citing people familiar with the matter. The company has not publicly confirmed the plan; the timing and fundraising target remain subject to change.

What is reported about Infinigence’s Hong Kong IPO?

Bloomberg reported that Infinigence filed confidentially in recent months and is preparing for a listing as early as the first half of 2027. Its account relies on unnamed sources, not a public prospectus or an on-record company announcement. Bloomberg said an Infinigence spokesperson declined to comment. The proposed timing and deal size were still being finalized when Bloomberg reported them.

The reported fundraising target is several hundred million US dollars. Bloomberg’s sources also put the company’s pre-offering valuation at RMB14.3 billion. These are reported figures, not audited disclosures or final IPO terms.

What does Infinigence AI do?

Infinigence is described as a Shanghai-based provider of AI cloud infrastructure. It supplies data-center computing capacity to technology companies and smaller developers for training AI models and running inference workloads. Bloomberg framed demand for computing to power models and AI agents as the commercial rationale for the potential offering.

The Information’s October 2026 briefing, which attributes its account to Bloomberg, says the infrastructure uses chips from domestic suppliers including Huawei and Moore Threads Technology. That reporting does not specify chip models, supplier contracts, computing capacity, performance, or revenue.

Who backs Infinigence, and how much has it raised?

Bloomberg named Tencent Holdings, Baidu, and Z.AI among Infinigence’s reported backers. The available reporting does not establish their ownership stakes, investment dates, governance rights, or whether the list is complete.

Bloomberg’s unnamed sources put cumulative fundraising since Infinigence’s 2023 founding at RMB4.3 billion. The figure, like the reported RMB14.3 billion pre-offering valuation, is not presented as a company-audited disclosure.

Does Hong Kong’s Chapter 18C apply?

Hong Kong has a listing route for specialist technology companies, including businesses in AI, robotics, and semiconductors. HKEX says Chapter 18C issuers can file confidentially and that market-capitalization thresholds for commercial and pre-commercial companies were temporarily reduced from August 2024 through August 2027. This is relevant market context, but the reporting does not establish that Infinigence qualifies under Chapter 18C or plans to use it.

HKEX reported six Chapter 18C listings and US$2.5 billion raised through the chapter in the first quarter of 2026. Those exchange figures describe the market, not the prospects or likely success of Infinigence’s proposed deal.

What remains unconfirmed?

  • Whether Infinigence will proceed with an IPO, and when it might list.
  • The final fundraising amount and valuation.
  • Whether the company has selected Chapter 18C or another listing route.
  • Its financial performance, customer concentration, computing capacity, and chip-supply arrangements.
  • The stakes and investment terms of its reported backers.

Until the company confirms the plan or publishes an offering document, the reported filing, valuation, fundraising and timing should be treated as preliminary rather than definitive IPO terms.
