Its maker says it tracks BrainFlow, a signal related to cerebral blood flow, and Entropy, a live index of metabolic and sympathetic demand. Those are descriptions of the device’s intended outputs—not proof that it measures blood flow throughout the brain or can diagnose a medical condition. Deepinder Goyal announced six launch colours on October 1, 2026, but pre-orders were still described as opening soon, not as available.
What the Temple wearable says it measures
Temple is worn at the temple rather than on the wrist or finger. The company describes two main outputs: BrainFlow and Entropy. Coverage of the product also discusses possible patterns involving cognitive load, stress and fatigue, but those should not be treated as established clinical measurements.
BrainFlow: a signal related to cerebral blood flow
Temple presents BrainFlow as continuous monitoring of changes related to blood flow in the brain. Reporting describes light-based sensing at the temple that collects signals associated with tissue, blood vessels and oxygenation. The distinction matters: a wearable-derived signal associated with blood flow is not, by itself, proof that one sensor measures blood flow across the whole brain.
Entropy: Temple’s own index
Temple describes Entropy as a live measure of the body’s metabolic and sympathetic demand—what Goyal has called the “cost of being alive.” He says it changes with sleep, stress, exercise, caffeine and meditation. This is Temple’s interpretation of its metric, not an established clinical diagnosis or independently established biomarker.

- Carpenter Pencils with Sharpener: The sharpener is screwed into the top of the work pencil, which won't get lost either. Built-in pencil sharpener that keep the lead with pointed and smooth to Improves line of sight in fine work
- Stronger Solid Lead: This work pencil is matched with a 2.8 mm thick lead , which is much thicker and stronger during the drawing process of construction work, it will not break or damage easily
- Marks on Various Surfaces: 3 colors solid construction pencil can marks on various surfaces, such as metal, plastic, wood, paper etc. Ideals for woodworkers, contractors, craftsmen, builders, merchants and masons
Cognitive load, stress and fatigue
These are described in coverage as patterns the device may aim to help track. The available descriptions do not establish that Temple can diagnose cognitive impairment, a stress disorder or fatigue-related illness.
Does Temple really monitor blood flow to the brain, or just the scalp?
The evidence described in coverage is evolving, and the distinction is not settled. Temple publicized a comparison of BrainFlow with time-domain near-infrared spectroscopy (TD-NIRS), a method reported to distinguish deeper brain-tissue signals from superficial scalp layers. India Today reported on October 2, 2026, that the comparison had not been peer reviewed at that time. It therefore should not be presented as independent confirmation of BrainFlow’s accuracy.

- Ergonomically Designed: Work in tight areas with a compact design that gets into tough spots
- Compact and Lightweight: Both tools are designed to fit into difficult to reach spaces. The 1/4" impact driver has a length of 5.55 in. and weighs just 2.8 lbs, while the 1/2" drill/driver measures only 7.5 in. and weighs 3.6 lbs
- Both the DEWALT impact driver and electric drill driver feature integrated LED work lights with a convenient 20-second delay, ensuring enhanced visibility in dimly lit or challenging work areas
- One-Handed Loading - Keep one hand free with a 1/4 in. hex chuck that accepts 1 in. bit tips
- Power drill cordless with 1/2" single sleeve ratcheting chuck provides tight bit gripping strength, making bit changes faster and more secure
An earlier assessment also raised a technical concern. In a January 6, 2026, Indian Express report, neurologist Dr Praveen Gupta said a single sensor on the outside of the head cannot reliably represent blood flow across both sides of the brain and its many deep and small arteries. He said robust evidence for reliable measurement of intracranial blood flow under differing physiological conditions was lacking at that time. That critique predates the later, still-unreviewed TD-NIRS comparison; neither item establishes a validated clinical measurement.
How to interpret a Temple reading
Think of BrainFlow and Entropy as device outputs that may help a wearer observe signals or trends, not as clinical test results. A product description or comparison does not establish diagnostic accuracy, and a number on a wearable should not be used alone to conclude that brain blood flow is normal or abnormal.

The Indian Express report names angiography, CT angiography, MRI angiography, Doppler ultrasound and transcranial Doppler among established tools used to assess brain blood flow. These are clinical methods, not interchangeable alternatives to a consumer wearable. If you have symptoms or a medical concern, seek clinical assessment rather than relying on Temple readings.

On October 1, 2026, Deepinder Goyal announced six colours for the launch edition. His post said pre-orders would open soon—hopefully the following week, pending certainty on a few details—and that people on the early-access waitlist would get priority. This was an intended timeline, not confirmation that ordering had opened. NDTV reported on October 2 that the price was still unclear. India Today said a limited launch edition had previously been expected to ship before the end of 2026; that was an expectation, not a guaranteed delivery date.
