In practice, you’re looking for “glass” surfaces in places like chat headers, dialogs, settings screens, and pop-up panels. Depending on the build, the effect may be tied to specific themes, transparency levels, or UI modes (for example, light vs. dark).

- Telegram installed from Google Play (the beta track is tied to Play’s distribution)

How to get Liquid Glass on Telegram for Android

Step 1: Join Telegram Beta (Google Play)
Open the Telegram listing in Google Play and switch to the beta channel.

- Open Google Play Store
- Search for Telegram
- Scroll to the Join beta (or similar) option on the app page
- Confirm the enrollment
After joining, Play may take some time to deliver the beta update.
Step 2: Update Telegram to the latest beta build
Liquid Glass won’t show up until you’re actually on the beta version that includes the feature.
- In Google Play Store, open Telegram
- Tap Update (if available)
- Wait for the installation to finish
- Open Telegram once the update completes
Also verify the build by going to Telegram’s Settings > About and checking the app version/date on that screen.
Step 3: Enable the visual effect in settings
Once you have the correct beta build, Liquid Glass is typically controlled through theme/appearance settings. The exact label can vary by build.
- Open Telegram

Check your beta status and install source
Start here. If you’re not on the right build, there’s nothing to “turn on.”
- Open Google Play Store and confirm Telegram shows Update for the beta track
- Confirm the app version in Telegram’s Settings > About
- Make sure you didn’t install Telegram from a third-party source
Force a refresh and rebuild Telegram state
If the feature exists but didn’t apply, a cache refresh can help.

- Choose a theme known for dark, translucent-friendly styling
- Adjust any available transparency or blur-related sliders (if your stable build offers them)
Even if you don’t get the exact Liquid Glass effect, you can get most of the visual vibe.
