Bhudhaar is an 11-digit, parcel-based identifier in Telangana’s Bhu Bharati system. It is intended to make an individual land parcel traceable across revenue, registration and survey records. The identifier relates to the parcel, not to a person’s identity number.

The Telangana Bhu Bharati Bill 2024 lists creation of Bhudhar for every land parcel and issuance of Bhudhar Cards among the programme’s objectives. It also provides for a consolidated Record of Rights after re-survey, streamlined mutation, records for abadi and non-agricultural land, and an online portal for citizens.

The reports describe testing, village selection and an initial mandal rollout; they do not prove that every landholder has already received a physical card. Local Revenue Department notices remain the relevant source for collection or delivery instructions in a particular area.

How to find your Bhudhaar number online
The official Telangana land-details service offers three search methods. You can use whichever record is available to you.

- Open the Telangana Revenue Department’s official land-details page.
- Choose the search option based on your survey or sub-division number, pattadar passbook number or 11-digit Bhudhaar.
- Enter the requested district, mandal, village and parcel details shown by the portal.
- Submit the search and compare the displayed land details with your passbook, sale deed and other records.
- Save or print the result if you need it for a follow-up with the Revenue Department, registration office or survey authority.
If a search fails, check spelling, survey and sub-division formatting, and whether the parcel was recently transferred, subdivided or placed under a pending mutation. A missing result is not, by itself, proof that the land record has been cancelled.

What the Bhu Bharati portal is intended to provide
The reported Bhu Bharati rollout combines revenue, registration and survey functions. Services listed in the rollout coverage include:
- Bhudhar number lookup
- Record of Rights access
- Registration information
- Requests to correct land records
- Appeals and related grievance processes
- Mutation and inheritance workflows
The programme’s stated goal is to connect these processes so that a parcel’s survey information, registration history and revenue record can be handled through a more consistent system.

Does the card prove ownership?
A Bhudhar Card identifies a land parcel and links it to the state’s land-record framework. The available official material does not establish that possession of the physical card alone is conclusive proof of title.
For a transaction, inheritance claim or dispute, check the Record of Rights together with the registered deed, mutation status, survey details, court orders where applicable and any other documents required by the relevant authority. If the card, passbook and online record disagree, request a correction or use the appeal process rather than relying on the card by itself.

What landholders should do while distribution is pending
- Keep the pattadar passbook, registered documents and prior mutation or inheritance orders together.
- Verify the survey and sub-division number in the official portal.
- Check whether the online Record of Rights reflects recent transfers, inheritance or subdivisions.
- Report spelling, area, boundary or ownership-history errors through the designated correction or appeal channel.
- Follow notices from the local Revenue Department for card collection, verification or delivery.
Officials have specifically been instructed to accelerate inheritance and mutation applications and to scrutinise licensed-surveyor surveys. Those checks can affect when a parcel receives a finalized identifier or card.
What remains unknown about the post-Dasara distribution
The public information available so far does not establish the exact date on which cards will be distributed after Dasara, how many cards will be issued in the first batch, which districts will be covered first, or whether cards will be collected from offices or delivered locally. Until the Revenue Department or a ministerial release publishes those details, landholders should rely on official local notices rather than forwarded schedules or social-media claims.
