The TECO TPO46CFWAT is a cooling-only portable air conditioner rated by TECO at 4.6kW. Its listed features include Wi-Fi, remote control and a 1.5m exhaust hose, but the public information available does not establish an independent test verdict. Before buying, check that the hose and window arrangement suit your room, that you can accommodate a 35.9kg appliance, and that the refrigerant specification matches the exact unit being sold.
What the TECO TPO46CFWAT offers

What independent evidence is publicly available?
CHOICE has a model-specific page titled “Teco TPO46CFWAT review.” The public portion lists cooling-only operation, 4.6kW capacity, 36kg weight, dimensions of 75 × 45 × 40cm, a 150cm duct length and R290 refrigerant. However, its Expert Rating, test results, cooling and energy-efficiency scores, noise test, pros and cons, and some specifications are behind member access. The accessible information therefore does not show whether CHOICE recommends or rejects the model, nor does it support a numerical test verdict. See CHOICE’s Teco TPO46CFWAT page.

Check the refrigerant discrepancy
TECO’s current product listing specifies R32, while CHOICE’s publicly visible specification table says R290. The two claims conflict, so do not assume the CHOICE entry describes the exact version currently for sale—or silently treat either value as confirmed for every unit. If refrigerant type matters to your decision, check the label on the appliance or its current manual and confirm the precise model/version with the seller.

Plan the exhaust route first
The supplied hose is 1.5m long, and TECO recommends proper ventilation and drainage. Measure the route from the planned appliance position to a suitable window opening before purchase. Check that the included exhaust arrangement can be fitted to your window and that the hose can reach without forcing you to place the unit somewhere impractical. The available product information does not establish compatibility with a particular window adapter or replacement hose.

Allow for the size and weight
At 745 × 450 × 396mm and 35.9kg net, the unit needs a clear place to stand and a workable route into the room. Castors are listed, but they do not remove the need to consider thresholds, turns, storage space and whether you can position the appliance safely. TECO also lists packaging dimensions of 880 × 499 × 459mm and gross weight of 40.1kg, useful when planning delivery or temporary storage.

Consider sound and drainage in context
TECO’s 65dB(A) indoor sound-power rating can help you compare published specifications, but it does not establish the sound level at your bed, desk or sofa. If operating noise is important, look for accessible independent measurements made under comparable conditions. TECO advises proper drainage, but the product listing does not provide enough detail here to infer a specific drainage routine for every installation.

TECO’s portable-air-conditioner category includes other models, including 4.1kW and 4.2kW options, as well as lower-capacity units. That establishes that alternatives exist, not that any one model cools better or uses less energy. TECO’s product page links to its user manual and warranty documents and provides support navigation for repair bookings and spare parts. Who should consider the TPO46CFWAT?
It may suit a buyer looking for a portable, cooling-only unit with Wi-Fi and who can provide a workable window exhaust route and space for a 35.9kg appliance. It is harder to recommend on performance grounds from the public evidence alone: the independent rating and test results are not visible, and the refrigerant entries conflict. Make the purchase decision using the exact unit’s label or manual, your installation measurements and any accessible independent test data—not the product listing alone.
