What does the public review evidence say?
CHOICE has a public review listing for the exact TPO42HVWAH model. Its visible listing includes 4.2 kW cooling, 3.9 kW heating, 27 kg weight, dimensions of 77 × 44 × 41 cm and a 150 cm duct. The page marks review cost/performance information and recommended room size as member-only. It does not expose a public test score or performance conclusion, so the listing alone cannot establish how effectively this model cools or heats in comparative testing (CHOICE).
The listing displayed a price of $1,095 when observed, but that is not evidence of a current retailer offer. Verify the live price and exact model code with a retailer before purchasing.

How should you judge its capacity, noise and running cost?
Capacity and room size
The 4.2 kW cooling and 3.9 kW heating figures are TECO’s nominal capacity specifications, with the variable ranges shown above. They are not a verified room-size recommendation or proof of real-world performance in a particular room. CHOICE’s recommended-room-size field is not visible publicly, so use neither a guessed floor area nor the capacity figure alone as a room-fit guarantee.
Noise
TECO lists indoor sound power at 64 dB(A). That is a manufacturer specification; it does not predict perceived loudness at a particular distance, fan setting or in a specific room. No public independent noise result for this model is established by the available CHOICE listing.

Energy use
TECO describes its inverter technology as adjusting output with demand and presents it as an energy-efficiency feature. The available information does not provide measured consumption comparisons or a bill estimate for this model, so a running cost cannot be derived reliably from the listed capacity or rated run current alone.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Will it fit your room and window?
Although it is portable, TECO says the unit must be installed near a window. Hot air needs to be routed outside through the exhaust setup, so window access and hose placement are part of the installation decision—not optional details. TECO lists castors and a ventilation kit, but the available product information does not establish that the kit seals every window style or works in every configuration.

It is worth considering if you specifically want one portable appliance with both heating and cooling, and your room has a workable window and exhaust route. Its listed Wi-Fi, remote, timer and other controls may also suit buyers who value those features. The public evidence is not enough to recommend it on measured performance, energy use, noise in practice or room-size suitability. For those deciding between models, compare published capacities alongside independent results under comparable test conditions, window-kit fit, dimensions, service terms and current price; the available evidence does not support ranking this Teco against competitors.
