The TECNO CAMON 30 5G is best suited to buyers who value its camera setup, selfie camera and vivid display more than gaming performance. In its India-market review published on 4 June 2024, 91mobiles praised the cameras, display and premium-looking design, but noted stronger performance-focused competition and inconsistent behavior from the Ella AI assistant. Its under-Rs 25,000 positioning refers to that review period—not a current price recommendation.
What are the TECNO CAMON 30 5G’s main strengths?
TECNO’s specifications make the CAMON 30 5G a camera-focused midrange phone, with a 50 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 50 MP autofocus front camera. The 91mobiles reviewer’s overall camera assessment was positive. That is the reviewer’s judgment, not an independent test conducted for this article.

The 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display is listed at 1080 × 2436 resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. 91mobiles described the display as vibrant and immersive, and also praised the phone’s premium-looking design. Those are review impressions; the specifications alone do not establish real-world image quality or how smoothly the phone performs in every task.
What are the main drawbacks?
Performance is not its strongest selling point
The listed processor is the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 5G. 91mobiles considered it suitable for everyday work and light gaming, while cautioning that buyers focused on gaming could find more powerful alternatives. The review did not establish a benchmark comparison here, so this is a general assessment rather than a quantified performance gap.

Ella AI may disappoint
91mobiles found the Ella AI assistant inconsistent. That makes it a weaker reason to choose the phone than its camera and display; the review does not establish that every feature or use of the assistant behaves poorly.

How good are the battery and software prospects?
TECNO lists a 5,000 mAh battery and 70W USB Type-C charging, but those figures do not establish how long a charge lasts or how quickly the phone charges in practice. The available information also does not establish whether a charger is included in the box; check the package contents for the exact market and seller before buying an accessory.
TECNO lists Android 14. At the time of its review, 91mobiles described the software as Android 14-based HiOS and reported a company promise of three years of software and security updates. That report does not verify which updates have since been delivered, the phone’s current Android version, or its present security-patch status. Confirm current support information for your region before treating the promise as a guarantee of the phone’s current software state.

Who should consider the CAMON 30 5G?
- Consider it if: camera hardware, selfies, a large AMOLED display and design matter more to you than gaming-focused performance.
- Look more closely at alternatives if: sustained gaming performance is a priority, or you expect a consistently useful AI assistant. Compare actual camera results, display quality, processor performance, battery and charging tests, delivered update support, current price and local after-sales service—not specifications alone.
91mobiles gave the phone an expert rating of 7.0/10. Its review framed the device under Rs 25,000 in India in June 2024, so that figure should not be read as its present price or value. No current retailer price, stock, configuration or warranty has been verified here; confirm those details in your market before deciding.
