Davidson positions the C6 as the strongest all-round value, the Bravia 7 II as a vivid-color RGB mini-LED with strong gaming support, and Samsung’s model as a premium OLED with an especially feature-rich gaming specification. Those are the reviewer’s assessments, not independent test results.

How to read these picks
The list reflects one reviewer’s choices from TVs he had tested by 6 October 2026; “this year” means 2026 up to that publication date, not a final year-end ranking. Davidson’s article describes a year of RGB TVs and brighter OLEDs, but it does not establish that these are the best TVs for every buyer or budget.

The three sets also use different display approaches: the LG C6 and Samsung are OLED televisions, while the Sony Bravia 7 II is RGB mini-LED. That distinction helps explain why the roundup separates their strengths rather than treating them as interchangeable options.
LG C6: the all-round value pick
Davidson calls the LG C6 the best TV he has tested in 2026 so far and his best-value choice. He highlights bright, accurate color, strong contrast, motion handling for sports, and crisp texture in movies, television and games. He also points to gaming features and built-in sound as advantages.

In his side-by-side comparison with the LG C5, Davidson says the C6 was brighter, had a faster processor and delivered a more accurate, engaging picture. He notes that the launch price remained the same as the predecessor’s, which informs his value judgment; that comparison does not establish today’s street price or current value against competing models.
Sony Bravia 7 II: vivid RGB mini-LED and gaming support
Davidson says RGB mini-LED performance across his 2026 testing was mixed overall, but the Bravia 7 II stood out to him. It sits below Sony’s Bravia 9 II flagship in the company’s RGB range. He praises its black levels, contrast and brightness, with vivid color as its defining strength.

The TechRadar article lists PlayStation 5-oriented features, 4K at 120Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR) and auto low latency mode (ALLM). It reports 10.4 ms input lag for the set; that is the figure reported by Davidson’s article, not an independently verified measurement here.
Samsung S95H/S99H: premium OLED, with a naming caveat
Davidson identifies the S95H as Samsung’s 2026 flagship OLED and uses S99H for the corresponding featured model in the UK. He praises its color, skin-tone accuracy, contrast, black levels and anti-glare screen. A silver frame or bezel may not suit every room or aesthetic.

There is a regional naming trap: the UK also has a different television called S95H. According to the article, that separate UK model has lower brightness, no bezel and Wi-Fi 5; the featured US S95H/UK S99H model has Wi-Fi 6. Check the exact model name and listing for your market rather than relying on “S95H” alone.
For gaming, TechRadar lists four HDMI 2.1 ports, 4K at 165Hz, VRR, HDR10+ gaming, ALLM and a game hub. Davidson’s article reports 9.5 ms input lag. Both the specification list and lag figure are attributable to that article rather than independent verification here.
