The 2TB and 4TB models are rated for sequential speeds of up to 14,200 MB/s read and 13,300 MB/s write; the 1TB model is rated up to 14,000 MB/s read and 11,000 MB/s write. These are TEAMGROUP’s maximum specifications, not independent benchmark results.
How fast is the TEAMGROUP T-CREATE H514?
The H514 is a PCIe Gen5 x4 NVMe drive. TEAMGROUP lists different maximum sequential speeds by capacity:

| Capacity | Maximum sequential read | Maximum sequential write | Rated endurance |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1TB | 14,000 MB/s | 11,000 MB/s | 600 TBW |
| 2TB | 14,200 MB/s | 13,300 MB/s | 1,200 TBW |
| 4TB | 14,200 MB/s | 13,300 MB/s | 2,400 TBW |
These are manufacturer maximums. TEAMGROUP says its general I/O performance figures are measured with CrystalDiskMark on a new, unused drive, and that results vary with the test hardware, software, and system conditions. The headline 14,200/13,300 MB/s figures apply to the 2TB and 4TB versions, not the 1TB model. TEAMGROUP’s product page and specification sheet provide the capacity-specific figures.

What the H514 offers beyond peak speed
TEAMGROUP lists a DRAM cache and endurance ratings of 600 TBW for 1TB, 1,200 TBW for 2TB, and 2,400 TBW for 4TB. TBW means terabytes written; the company says its definition follows JEDEC. The five-year limited warranty ends when either the warranty time limit or the applicable TBW limit is reached, whichever comes first, and regional terms may apply.

The March 26, 2026 announcement presents the drive for creative workloads and local AI model use, describing it as intended to meet storage demand in the generative AI era. That is the manufacturer’s positioning; it does not establish a particular AI workload improvement or independent performance advantage. The announcement is available from TEAMGROUP.
Does the T-CREATE H514 need a PCIe 5.0 motherboard?
To use the drive’s PCIe Gen5 x4 interface as intended, confirm that the M.2 slot and the host platform support it. TEAMGROUP advises checking the device, motherboard, processor, and BIOS specifications; some older Intel and AMD platforms may not support newer interface SSDs. If platform support is unclear, consult the motherboard or system maker. Compatibility should be verified for the specific system rather than assumed from the presence of an M.2 slot.

Cooling, heatsink options, and physical clearance
TEAMGROUP offers the H514 with either a thin graphene heat spreader or an aluminum alloy heatsink. The listed dimensions are:
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

- Aluminum alloy heatsink: 80.0 × 22.0 × 11.7 mm.
Check the selected version against the motherboard’s M.2 cover, nearby components, or laptop bay before buying. TEAMGROUP warns that Gen5 NVMe drives can produce substantial heat at high transfer speeds and says cooling is needed to prevent thermal throttling. Whether the supplied heatsink is sufficient depends on the host system and workload; the product information does not establish that every installation needs an additional cooler.

TEAMGROUP’s power-supply guidance
TEAMGROUP recommends a power supply rated at 850W or higher for Gen5 NVMe systems, citing possible performance degradation from unstable power delivery in systems with high-power CPUs and graphics cards. This is the manufacturer’s recommendation, not a universal wattage requirement established for every PC or a standalone minimum for the SSD. Choose a PSU for the full system’s components and power needs.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What to check before choosing a capacity
- Capacity-specific speed: The top listed sequential write speed is for the 2TB and 4TB models; the 1TB model has lower listed read and write ceilings.
- Endurance: Compare the TBW rating with how much data you expect to write over the drive’s life.
- Platform support: Verify PCIe Gen5 x4 NVMe support for the specific M.2 slot and system.
- Cooling and clearance: Check the chosen heat-spreader or heatsink dimensions against the available space.
- Warranty terms: Review the five-year limited warranty and applicable regional terms, including the TBW limit.
- Real-world performance: The published figures are manufacturer maxima; the available product information does not establish independent sustained-workload benchmarks or a head-to-head comparison.
TEAMGROUP notes that specifications may change. Its published materials do not establish current pricing, inventory, or independent compatibility testing.
