TCL 75P7K Review: What the 75-Inch QLED TV Offers

The TCL 75P7K is a 75-inch 4K QLED Google TV with Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and Dolby Atmos listed among its advertised features. Those claims describe the product, not independently measured performance: the independent P7K review available here tests the 43-inch model, not the 75-inch set. If you are considering the larger TV, confirm the exact regional model and its specification sheet before relying on details such as brightness, refresh rate or ports.

What is the TCL 75P7K?

It is the 75-inch version of TCL’s P7K television family. TCL’s India and New Zealand product pages describe a QLED 4K television with Google TV; TCL New Zealand also lists HDR10+, Dolby Vision and Atmos, Chromecast built in and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). These are regional manufacturer-listed features, and the precise specification can vary by market and model suffix. TCL India’s P7K page and TCL New Zealand’s P7K page are useful starting points for their respective markets.

QLED identifies the display’s quantum-dot LCD technology; it does not by itself establish how bright the screen gets, how well it handles dark scenes, or how accurately it displays HDR. The available evidence does not provide independent measurements of those qualities for the 75-inch model.

What the 75-inch UK specification sheet says

TCL’s UK sheet is for the specifically identified variant 75P7K-UK/R75PG1S-EU/CS9W1U. Version 1.0, issued 8 November 2024, lists the following figures. They apply to that UK variant and should not be treated as universal specifications for every 75P7K sold elsewhere. Read the TCL UK specification sheet.

TCL 75-Inch F7D Series QLED 4K UHD HDR Smart Fire TV, 75F7D (2026)
  • 4K UltraHD QLED color: Quantum Dot technology delivers over a billion vibrant, true-to-life shades in every scene
  • HDR PRO+: Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10 & HLG for enhanced contrast, accurate color, and fine detail across every format
  • Dolby Atmos + DTS:X: Full spatial audio support across both major formats - Dolby Atmos and DTS:X/DTS Virtual:X - for broader soundbar and content compatibility
  • Auto Game Mode (ALLM) + Game Bar: Automatic low-latency switching plus an on-screen overlay to fine-tune settings without leaving the game
  • Motion Rate 240 with MEMC: Best-in-class motion clarity for fast sports and action, double the motion rating of typical competing QLEDs, for an ultra-crisp, blur-free picture
Specification UK sheet listing
Resolution 3840 × 2160
Typical brightness 350 nits
Refresh and motion modes 60 Hz refresh rate; VRR up to 120 Hz and DLG 120 Hz are also listed
Typical color gamut 93% DCI-P3
Speakers 2 × 15 W
HDMI Inputs are described as versions 1.4, 2.0 and 2.1

The refresh-rate entries deserve care: the sheet lists a 60 Hz refresh rate alongside VRR up to 120 Hz and DLG 120 Hz. Those labels do not establish that the TV has a native 120 Hz panel or that it accepts 4K at 120 frames per second. If that capability matters for a console or PC, check the exact regional manual and HDMI input behavior rather than inferring it from “120 Hz” wording.

What independent reviews can—and cannot—tell you

What Hi-Fi?’s P7K review is of the 43-inch television. It praises that set’s picture quality for its price, HDR-format support and streaming-app support, while noting backlight “jetting,” processing limits, restricted viewing angles and weaker upscaling. It also says dialogue can recede and action scenes can sound thin. These observations offer context about one P7K size, but they are not test results for the 75-inch version. Read What Hi-Fi?’s 43-inch P7K review.

TCL 75 Inch T7 Series 4K 144Hz QLED Smart Google TV, 75T7 (Latest Model)

  • QLED (Quantum Dot Technology): Rich, vibrant colors covering nearly the entire DCI-P3 color space to bring images to lifeQLED – Quantum Dot Technology: Rich, vibrant colors covering nearly the entire DCI-P3 color space to bring images to life
  • 144Hz Panel Refresh Rate: Watch action-packed movies, fast-paced video games, and live sports with an ultra-smooth viewing experience, free of motion blur
  • TCL AIPQ Pro Processor: Powerful, advanced processor that intelligently optimizes the color, contrast, and clarity for an unrivaled 4K HDR experience
  • Dolby Atmos Audio: Advanced spatial audio processing can be found in movies, TV shows, and video games

The review lists the 43-inch model as having three HDMI inputs, VRR, ALLM, eARC and optical output, but lacking 4K/120 Hz. Do not assume its port configuration or gaming performance transfers to the 75-inch television. TCL says specifications, certifications and features can differ by size and region and may change without notice; its Europe support page lists documentation for specific models, including product information, conformity documents, manuals and power labels. Use the support page for your country and exact model suffix.

Is the TCL 75P7K worth buying?

The case for considering it is straightforward: it is a large 4K QLED TV with Google TV and broad advertised HDR-format support. The case for caution is equally important: the available independent review does not test the 75-inch set, and the regional UK specification sheet alone cannot answer how bright it looks in your room, how it handles dark scenes, or whether its gaming behavior meets your needs.

  • Consider it if the 75-inch size, Google TV and listed HDR formats suit your setup, and the price is attractive in your market.
  • Check before paying if you need confirmed 4K/120 Hz gaming, a particular HDMI or audio connection, measured HDR performance, or a specific wall-mount fit. Verify the exact suffix and documentation rather than relying on specifications for another region or size.
  • Compare alternatives using the same market and screen size. Pay particular attention to native refresh rate versus VRR or DLG claims, measured brightness and local dimming rather than HDR format names alone, viewing-angle needs, sound, gaming features, and regional warranty support.

Setup considerations

TCL says smart features require a free Google account, a free TCL account and reliable broadband; app and service availability can vary by country. Confirm that the services you use are available in your region. TCL’s New Zealand product page lists these conditions.

A soundbar is an optional addition, not a required purchase. What Hi-Fi?’s recommendation follows its listening to the 43-inch P7K, so it does not establish how the 75-inch version sounds. For wall installation, check the exact unit’s VESA dimensions, weight, installation directions and included feet in its manual before choosing a mount; compatibility is not established for every regional variant.
