The TCL 55P7K is listed by TCL as a 55-inch QLED 4K HDR Google TV, but the available evidence for this review is manufacturer documentation rather than independent testing. That supports a clear description of its advertised features—not a verdict on picture quality, sound, gaming performance, or value. The UK product page is for the regional model 55P7K-UK; check the local product sheet before applying its specifications to a set sold elsewhere.
What is the TCL 55P7K?
TCL’s Europe page places 55 inches among the sizes in its P7K QLED family. Its UK listing identifies the 55P7K-UK as a QLED, Direct LED, 4K HDR television powered by Google TV. Those are TCL’s product descriptions, not independently verified performance results. See the TCL UK 55P7K-UK product page and the TCL Europe P7K family page.

The distinction between the family name and the regional SKU matters: TCL says features and specifications can vary by model and region. The 55P7K-UK page is relevant to that UK variant, but it should not be treated as a complete specification sheet for every 55P7K sold internationally.

Does the TCL 55P7K support 120Hz?
TCL advertises a “120Hz Game Accelerator in FHD resolution” on the UK product page. The resolution qualification is essential: this is not evidence that the television accepts or displays native 120Hz at 4K. The page does not establish the precise supported gaming modes, input lag, or behavior on every regional version.

Is the TCL 55P7K good for gaming?
The documented feature most relevant to gaming is that FHD-resolution 120Hz Game Accelerator claim. It may interest buyers seeking a higher-refresh option at Full HD, but a product-page feature alone cannot establish how responsive or smooth the set feels in use. Independent results for input lag, motion handling, and supported modes on the exact regional model are not available here.
What can be said about picture quality and HDR?
For the UK version, TCL lists QLED, Direct LED, 4K HDR, and Google TV. These labels describe the advertised configuration; they do not establish measured brightness, contrast, black uniformity, color accuracy, viewing angles, or HDR impact. No independent test results for those characteristics are available, so the screen should not be called bright, high-contrast, or especially capable with HDR on this evidence alone.
TCL’s Europe family page also describes features including AiPQ image processing, HVA panel technology, HDR formats, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and Game Master. Because TCL warns that features vary by model and region, confirm those details in documentation for the specific 55P7K variant before relying on them.

Does the TCL 55P7K have Google TV?
Yes, Google TV is part of TCL’s UK product designation for the 55P7K-UK. TCL says its Google TV experience requires a Google account, a TCL account, and reliable broadband. Some content also requires internet access or subscriptions, and app, content, and feature availability varies by country. TCL’s P7K product page states: “Some apps, contents and/or features may not be available in all countries. Subject to availability.”
What should you check before buying?
- Match the model to your market. Check the full model identifier on the retailer listing and television packaging; do not assume a listing for another screen size or regional P7K variant has the same features.
- Verify the local specifications. TCL’s Europe support page for model 55P7K lists product sheets and a user manual, with downloads dated March 18, 2025. Use documentation for your country where available, since regional specifications can differ.
- Confirm features you care about. In particular, distinguish the UK listing’s FHD 120Hz Game Accelerator claim from native 120Hz 4K support, and check the exact SKU documentation for any other required gaming, HDR, or audio formats.
- Check current local price and availability. Neither current retailer pricing nor stock is established here, so value cannot be judged without checking the offer for the correct regional model.
Should you buy the TCL 55P7K?
The available evidence establishes what TCL advertises, not how the 55P7K performs against competing televisions. It is reasonable to shortlist the UK 55P7K-UK if its listed 4K HDR, QLED, Google TV, and FHD 120Hz Game Accelerator features match your needs. A recommendation on picture quality, sound, gaming responsiveness, or value would require independent testing and a current local price for the exact model.
