CHOICE lists it as discontinued and gives it a 75% Expert Rating, but the accessible listing does not show the detailed food-performance or usability results behind that score. That means the public evidence supports a review of its documented features and limitations—not a claim that it cooks better or worse than competing models.
What kind of air fryer is the AF510T?
The AF510T is an oven-style countertop appliance with a front door and shelves or accessories, rather than a conventional pull-out basket drawer. CHOICE lists a claimed capacity of 12 L and external dimensions of 37 × 31 × 31 cm (H × W × D), with a listed weight of 6.8 kg. These are published product specifications, not measurements from an independent hands-on review.

The unit’s layout is intended to accommodate different cooking setups. The instruction manual lists a wire rack, mesh basket, drip tray, rolling cage, skewer rack, rotisserie fork and cage tong. The accessory mix gives it more configuration options than a basic drawer fryer, but it also means buyers should consider where they will store the parts and how easy it will be to load and clean an oven-style cavity.
What does the public review evidence say?
CHOICE reports a 75% Expert Rating for the AF510T. Its listing identifies tests of frozen chips, chicken wings, crumbed chicken and roast pork, as well as cooking performance, ease of use, cleaning and controls. The detailed results are restricted to members on the accessible listing, so the public score alone does not establish how the appliance performed in any one category or whether CHOICE recommends it.

The manual describes menu presets for foods such as fries, wings, fish, vegetables, chicken, cake, pizza, toast and cookies. Temperature can be adjusted in 10°C increments. These are manufacturer-provided starting settings, not independently validated cooking recommendations; check food is properly cooked rather than relying on a preset alone.

The controls include preset start and rotisserie mode. Opening the door pauses cooking; the appliance will not start with the door open. If the door remains open for 10 minutes, the display blanks and the manual says cooking must be restarted. After cooking, the fan continues for one minute.

Clearance, loading and cleaning precautions
- Leave room around the unit: the manual calls for at least 10 cm of clearance at the back and sides, and distance from curtains, wall coverings and other combustible materials.
- Use the drip tray: place it at the lowest level and do not fill accessories beyond their MAX mark.
- Mind the rotisserie limit: the manual says chicken on the rotisserie should not exceed 1.2 kg. It recommends using the basket for a larger chicken or roast that may not rotate correctly.
- Protect your hands: handle hot accessories with heat-resistant gloves.
- Clean without immersing the appliance: wash removable accessories and wipe the body with a soft damp cloth. Do not immerse the appliance body, cord or plug.
The manual’s model-specific instructions are available in the AF510T instruction manual.
Who might consider it—and what remains uncertain?
The AF510T may suit someone seeking an oven-style appliance with multiple rack, basket and rotisserie configurations. Its listed 12 L capacity, 1600 W power and range of included accessories describe its format, but they do not establish usable cooking capacity for a particular meal or its results in practice.

The main buying uncertainty is performance: the detailed CHOICE category scores are not public on the accessible page, and the manual’s presets are not independent test results. For a current alternative, compare oven versus drawer layout, usable capacity, cooking results on the foods you make, loading and cleaning, footprint, weight, attachments, controls, power, current availability and warranty. Public information does not support a defensible performance ranking of this model against alternatives.

The manual includes a one-year limited replacement warranty statement and separate language for Australian and New Zealand consumers, including references to Australian Consumer Law guarantees. Those terms are geographically specific; buyers elsewhere should not assume the same coverage. Because the model is listed as discontinued, confirm with the distributor whether any service or warranty support is currently available before purchase.
