T1 is the organization’s main League of Legends team. T1 Esports Academy is a separate team that competes in the LCK Challengers League (LCK CL). There is also a distinct T1 Esports Academy Rookies roster in the LCK Academy Series, so “T1 Academy” alone can be ambiguous.
How the T1 teams differ
| Team | Competition | What that means |
|---|---|---|
| T1 | Main League of Legends competition; the cited listings distinguish it from the academy rosters. | The organization’s main team. |
| T1 Esports Academy | LCK Challengers League (LCK CL) | A separate T1 team competing in the LCK’s associated second-tier league. |
| T1 Esports Academy Rookies | LCK Academy Series (LCK AS) | A different trainee roster, not another name for the LCK CL team. |
Leaguepedia lists T1, T1 Esports Academy, and T1 Esports Academy Rookies separately. The official LoL Esports 2026 LCK Challengers event listing includes T1 Esports Academy among the participants and marks that July–September event completed. Liquipedia describes the LCK Challengers League as the LCK’s academy league.

Does the academy team feed players into T1?
The academy label and league placement indicate a development context, but they do not establish that a particular player will be promoted to T1’s main roster. The available team listings identify separate teams and competitions; they do not guarantee a promotion path or establish a fixed hierarchy between the academy rosters.
