SweetNight describes the CoolNest Ultra as an all-foam mattress with seven-zone support and a five-stage cooling design. These are the manufacturer’s descriptions of the materials and design; they do not guarantee a particular temperature or feel for every person. The listed profiles do not have identical firmness descriptions: SweetNight calls the 12-inch version Medium and the 14- and 16-inch versions Medium Plush. Does it sleep cool?
SweetNight advertises the mattress as “up to 11° cooler” than traditional memory foam. That is a comparative marketing claim, not evidence that the mattress cools a room or that each sleeper will experience an 11-degree difference. The product page also lists a cover Qmax of 0.25 J/(cm²·s), a specification associated with the cover’s cool-to-the-touch characteristic; it does not by itself establish how cool the whole mattress will feel overnight. There is some brand-reported testing behind its cooling account: in July 2026, SweetNight said its team tested a 14-inch Queen for six weeks in a room kept around 73°F (23°C), using surface-temperature readings. The company reported that the surface stayed cooler at the contact point. This is useful context, but it is the manufacturer’s own test account, not an independent replication. RTINGS’ independent assessment is more restrained, describing temperature control as very good but not great. Taken together, the evidence supports considering the Ultra if cooling materials and a cooler initial surface feel appeal to you, but not buying it on the expectation of a guaranteed temperature reduction. How does it feel, and who is it best for?
RTINGS describes a slow-moving, enveloping memory-foam feel: the comfort layers contour around the body rather than quickly pushing back. Its strongest fit is for average-weight and heavier side sleepers, who compress the comfort foam enough to get pressure relief. How does it handle movement, edges, and durability?
RTINGS found strong motion dissipation, which can help limit the feel of a partner’s movements across the bed.
