Its own support FAQ describes a free-to-enter, sweepstakes-style games platform. That FAQ said the beta was for people over 18 who were physically in California. The FAQ was last modified April 22, 2025. Nothing reviewed confirms that Sweepz is lawful everywhere, or that it is accepting entries today. Treat eligibility and legality as location-specific, and read the current official rules before you take part.
What Sweepz says it is
Sweepz’s support FAQ describes a set of casual games played in a mobile browser. Players earn promotional tokens called Sweepz, then exchange those tokens for entries into sweepstakes with a chance to win prizes. Sweepz presents this as a games-plus-promotional-entries model, not conventional real-money casino wagering. It is a “social casino” in the sense that it is a casual game platform with sweepstakes attached. It is not a licensed gambling site by its own description.

This review draws on Sweepz’s own published material. It is not based on hands-on play, and it does not verify prizes paid.
Is Sweepz legal?
The only eligibility statement available is the beta term in the FAQ: over 18 and physically located in California. That is a dated statement. It does not show who may enter now.

An official rules PDF, as it appeared in a search result, lists state exclusions. It also contains what look like unfilled template fields for limits and other details. That makes it unreliable as a complete, current eligibility list. No current legal opinion or state-by-state eligibility table was found, and nothing supports calling the platform legal nationwide.
Before entering, check three things:
- Whether the current official rules accept your state and age.
- Whether your local law has any additional restrictions on sweepstakes-style games.
- Whether the service is live. When the official homepage appeared in a search result, it showed “No internet connection.” That is a single observation. It does not prove Sweepz has closed, but it means current availability is unconfirmed.
How the tokens and entries work
Sweepz tokens
The token FAQ says Sweepz are promotional tokens and are not sold. They may be awarded through games or platform engagement, and they expire after 60 days of inactivity. The FAQ states: “No purchase is necessary to obtain Sweepz.” (Sweepz.com Support FAQ, “What are Sweepz?”, modified April 22, 2025.)

Optional gem purchases
Some games may offer optional gem packs. The FAQ says some gem bundles may include free Sweepz, and that this varies by game. It also says no purchase is necessary to play or enter. Buying gems is therefore described as separate from the entry mechanism. Nothing reviewed suggests that spending improves your chances.

Entries and winners
Players exchange Sweepz for sweepstakes entries. A winner is notified by email after the drawing. The support page defers to each sweepstakes’ own rules for details, so those rules are where drawing dates, prize terms and odds should be found.

Postcard entry
The official rules PDF result describes an alternate mail-in route requiring a postcard and postage. Because that document shows template-like placeholders, don’t rely on any specific limit or requirement without reading the live rules. Mailing a postcard would be the only cost involved, and online entry is described as free.

What this review cannot establish
- No independent user count, win rate or market statistic was found. The 60-day expiry and the California age rule come from Sweepz itself.
- A third-party review result names Altitude Games Pty and Contest Factory in connection with the service. Those claims are secondary, and they are not used to judge legality.
- Prize payouts and customer experience are unverified.
A sensible way to check before you play
- Open the official Sweepz site and confirm it loads and is accepting entries.
- Find the current official rules and confirm your state and age are eligible.
- Read the specific sweepstakes’ rules for the drawing, notification and any mail-in terms.
- Treat gem purchases as optional, and don’t pay in the expectation of better odds.
The Bottom Line
Sweepz describes itself as free-to-enter, but its published eligibility is a dated California-only beta. Its availability today is unconfirmed. Don’t assume it is legal or open to you until the current official rules say so.
