- Availability: Is the operator open to players in your state, and is the method shown for your account?

The FTC’s Telemarketing Sales Rule guidance says that covered prize-promotion telemarketing must disclose that participation or winning is possible without purchase or payment, how to enter for free, and relevant odds and material costs. It says a promotion requiring payment for eligibility is generally a lottery, generally unlawful under federal and state lottery laws. State law is a separate consideration. Florida’s 2026 statute says a covered game promotion cannot require an entry fee, payment, or proof of purchase as a condition of entry. For covered promotions with total announced prizes over $5,000, it requires filing rules and a prize list at least seven days before the promotion begins.
