Suzuki Australia’s three-door Jimny Heritage is returning as an automatic-only limited edition, according to a 2026 report by CarExpert. The reported Australian allocation is 300 vehicles, with a starting price of $42,490. The automatic transmission is the key change from earlier Australian Heritage editions, which were manual-only.
What is returning, and where?
The returning model is the Australian-market, three-door Jimny Heritage. CarExpert reports that orders are open and the edition is capped at 300 vehicles. Suzuki Australia general manager Michael Pachota described them as the final three-door Heritage limited-edition models to be sold in Australia, individually numbered from 301 to 600.

That final-edition statement applies to Australian three-door Heritage releases; it is not a claim that Suzuki is ending Jimny production or Heritage editions in every market. Availability and order status can change, so check with an Australian Suzuki dealer for current stock.

What does the Heritage edition add?
The edition’s reported distinguishing touches are primarily accessories and styling, alongside the numbered identification.
- Red front and rear mudflaps
- Jimny Heritage cargo tray
- Heritage exterior graphics
- Build-number badge
CarExpert also lists 15-inch alloy wheels, 210 mm of ground clearance, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a 9.0-inch centre infotainment display among the equipment. The display supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Automatic Jimny versions are also reported to include adaptive cruise control; confirm the market-specific equipment with Suzuki or a dealer before purchase.

Engine, transmission and four-wheel drive
For this Australian edition, CarExpert lists a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 75 kW and 130 Nm, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and dual-range four-wheel drive. The automatic is the notable departure from the previous Australian three-door Heritage editions.
Suzuki’s global Jimny page describes the broader model’s off-road layout as a ladder frame, three-link rigid axle suspension with coil springs, and four-wheel drive with a low-range transfer gear. That is manufacturer context about the global Jimny, not a replacement for the Australian edition’s market-specific specification. Suzuki also cautions that driver-assistance sensors have limitations and should not replace safe driving.

How does it differ from earlier Heritage editions?
CarExpert says Australia previously had a 300-unit three-door Jimny Heritage run in 2023, sold only with a manual gearbox, followed by a manual-only five-door Heritage in 2024. The returning three-door edition’s automatic-only configuration is the main change.
Do not confuse it with the separate New Zealand five-door Heritage. Suzuki New Zealand’s five-door window card lists that market’s vehicle as a 1.5-litre model with 75 kW and 130 Nm, available with a five-speed manual or four-stage automatic, plus ALLGRIP PRO part-time four-wheel drive, roof rails and a roof platform tray. Those details describe the New Zealand five-door specification, not this Australian three-door limited edition.
