The route below follows that sequence and flags all four chapter collectibles so you can pick them up as you go.
What to expect in Survival of the Fittest
This Act 1, Chapter 2 mission is a mostly linear route. You begin inside Kalona Police HQ, move through its basement armory and firing range, rescue civilians at a bus, then reach the Recruitment Center and escort the group back to the station. Four collectibles sit along or just off this route.

How to get through the police station
Pick up the KPD Police Bulletin
At the start, check the tables on the left for the KPD Police Bulletin. It is easy to pass while moving through the station, so collect it before heading downstairs.

Continue through the station and descend to the basement. When the Rusher grabs you, repeatedly press X to hold it off until Reyes intervenes. Once the encounter ends, enter the armory.

Take a Lancer and clear the firing range
Pick up the Lancer Mk1 and ammunition in the armory. At a firing lane, activate the moving targets; the floor opens and Locusts attack. Defeat them to proceed. Headshots are suggested as a tactic in one walkthrough, but are not established as a requirement.
Find the police chief’s badge
Continue through the station to the Tactical Operations room. The Bloodied Police Chief’s Badge is on a shelf beside an officer’s body. Take it before heading for the exit.

Rescue the civilians at the bus
Clear the enemies in the lot, then open the central bus to release the trapped civilians into the station. If a Rusher pins you or a teammate, use the on-screen X escape prompt. A warning then directs the squad to civilians at the Recruitment Center.

Reach the Recruitment Center
Follow Lucas toward the next block. Climb over the car and truck, then turn into the alley at the blockage. Use the dumpster and other available cover while dealing with the Drone and attackers.

Continue along the route and pick up the Hammerburst. Climb the ladder and pass through the broken window. Clear the enemies outside the Recruitment Center before going in.
Collect the Recruitment Center items and return
In the lobby, collect both items before leaving:
- Army Recruitment Pamphlet: behind the reception counter.
- Try On Pilot Helmet: on display to the right of the counter.
Exit by the right-side route, use the opening beside the road, and continue back to the police station. Reaching the station triggers the chapter-ending cutscene.
