It includes a wireless charging stand, but not a charging travel case. A TechRadar reviewer reported using one for 21 days without recharging; that is one person’s test, not a guarantee for every user. If you want SURI’s basic brushing features at a lower price than the Pro 2.0, the Core may fit. The trade-offs are a bio-circular ABS handle instead of metal, a lower stated motor speed and no compatibility with SURI’s UV Travel Case.
What the Core 1.0 includes
SURI describes the Core 1.0 as a sonic toothbrush with up to 28,000 vibrations per minute. Its two modes are Clean and Polish. A two-minute timer and haptic prompts at 30-second intervals help divide brushing into four sections, while a haptic pressure sensor alerts you when you press too hard. The handle is rated IPX7 waterproof by SURI. SURI’s product page lists the specifications and included accessories.

The head cover is not a charging case. SURI says its UV Travel Case is compatible with Pro 2.0 only, not Core 1.0.

SURI claims up to 28 days of battery life on a charge. TechRadar’s reviewer reported brushing morning and night for 21 days without needing to recharge. That result is useful context, but it describes that reviewer’s test—not a universal runtime. How long a charge lasts for you may differ with use and charging habits. TechRadar’s review also reports that its reviewer measured 69 dB using a noise-measuring app; this is an individual reading, not a standardized lab result.

How it compares with the Pro 2.0
The Core keeps the basic everyday functions but makes compromises in materials, motor speed and travel charging. The Guardian reported the following UK prices and specifications in its August 2026 review. Prices are review-time figures, not current quotes; check SURI’s live listing for your region.

The Guardian’s review describes the Core’s lower-cost handle and says it cannot properly fit or charge in the UV case. For Core owners, the included stand and head cover are the travel and charging accessories in the box; the UV case is not an upgrade to buy for this model. The Guardian’s comparison is dated August 2026, so confirm current prices and product details before purchasing.

What the materials and recycling claims mean
SURI says the handle is made from bio-circular ABS and contains over 90% bio-circular plastic, a mass-balance figure it says is independently certified. The brush head is a separate material: PLA. SURI says its PLA is industrially compostable under specific conditions, while ABS is not compostable. These claims do not mean the handle is plastic-free or that the complete toothbrush is compostable. Brush-head replacement and recycling
SURI recommends changing the head every two to three months. Its FAQ says replacement heads fit all SURI models, though color or feel may vary. SURI also describes a used-head return and recycling service using prepaid mailers. Availability and process can depend on region, so check the current terms where you live rather than assuming the service is available everywhere. SURI’s FAQ covers model compatibility and head questions.

Who should consider the Core 1.0?
- Consider it if you want a two-mode sonic brush with a timer, pressure alerts and a charging stand, and you are comfortable with an ABS handle and a separate travel head cover.
- Look at another option in SURI’s range if an aluminum handle or a compatible UV charging travel case matters to you; SURI identifies those as Pro 2.0 distinctions.
- Do not buy it expecting the UV Travel Case to fit or charge it. The Core’s supplied accessories do not provide charging while traveling.
Tom’s Guide reports that its own Core 1.0 test lasted four weeks and one day, but that is another reviewer’s experience rather than a promised battery duration. Its review also described replacement-head pack and subscription options available at the time; those offers can change. Tom’s Guide’s review provides that test context.
