Why Japan’s release date is different
October 3, 2026, is the start of the Japanese television broadcast, not the reported YouTube date. The official anime site lists broadcasts across 32 Japanese stations beginning that day, alongside distribution on platforms. It describes episode 1 as a 60-minute expanded special. The international YouTube release was reported for October 6.

What Suikoden story does the anime adapt?
Konami identifies the series as an adaptation of Suikoden II. Set in the Dunan region, the story follows childhood friends Riliu and Jowy, Highland Kingdom boy soldiers whose lives are caught up in war. The official series description focuses on the choices they face and the power they gain during the conflict.
The official anime site lists amazarashi performing the opening theme, “悲しみさえ大人びて,” and Koji Nakamura performing the ending theme, “closed eye sun (feat. たかはしほのか).”
