You can unlock Outfit 2 in Street Fighter 6 through gameplay or buy it in the Shop. The gameplay routes are character-specific World Tour conditions and bonds, or filling that master’s Acquisition Gauge to MAX in Avatar Arcade. Character and Ultimate Passes provide different bundles of characters, costumes, colors, and Drive Tickets; special campaign colors can have additional requirements and redemption deadlines. Which route applies depends on the costume or color you want.
First, identify what you are trying to unlock
“Costume” and “color” are not interchangeable in Street Fighter 6. A costume is an outfit, such as Outfit 2; colors are variations associated with an outfit. The available route depends on the specific outfit and color. Outfit 2 has gameplay unlocks as well as a Shop purchase option. A pass may include specified outfit colors, while a special campaign color can require both a code and a particular outfit.

There is no single universal unlock checklist for every cosmetic. Before spending time or money, check the item’s requirements in the game and identify whether it is a standard outfit, a pass item, or a limited-time reward. The routes below are based on Capcom information current to October 13, 2026; catalogs, pass contents, and promotion terms can change.

Capcom identifies two gameplay routes: meet the relevant conditions in World Tour, including maximizing a master’s bond, or fill that master’s Acquisition Gauge to MAX in Avatar Arcade. The Shop is a separate paid route. These modes work differently, so choose according to what you have already progressed in.

World Tour: complete that master’s conditions and build the bond
In World Tour, Outfit 2 is tied to the individual master. Check the relevant character’s master missions and bond state, then work through the conditions shown in your game. Maximizing that master’s World Tour bond is an unlock route.
Capcom’s announcement does not provide a complete, universal list of missions, gifts, or steps for every character. Do not assume that one character’s mission sequence applies to another. If the outfit has not unlocked, revisit that specific master’s missions and bond progress rather than following a generic checklist. The exact requirements to reach the unlock can vary by character, and the game’s current character-specific information is the place to verify them.
Avatar Arcade: fill the Acquisition Gauge
In Avatar Arcade, defeat masters to fill their Acquisition Gauge. When the gauge for a master reaches MAX, that master’s Outfit 2 unlocks. This is a measurable progress route: the relevant condition is the gauge reaching its maximum, not a World Tour bond milestone.

If you are choosing between the two free routes, consider your existing progress. World Tour is the route to pursue when you are already working through a master’s missions or bond. Avatar Arcade is the route with the explicit gauge threshold: defeat masters and monitor the target master’s gauge until it reaches MAX. Neither route should be treated as a requirement to use the other mode.
Buy the outfit from the Shop
Capcom also lists the Shop as a way to obtain Outfit 2. This is the direct purchase route, but a current price for individual outfits or colors is not established here. Check the in-game Shop for the item and its current cost before deciding. Buying an outfit is not necessary if you prefer to use one of the gameplay unlock methods.
What Character Passes and Ultimate Passes include
A pass is a bundle, not a blanket promise that every costume or color in the game is included. Capcom’s June 29, 2026 description says a Character Pass includes four additional characters, Outfit 1 Colors 3–10, and Drive Tickets. An Ultimate Pass includes the Character Pass content plus Outfit 2 and Outfit 3 costumes and additional Drive Tickets. The base game is required separately.

Year 1 and Year 2 passes also include additional stages. Passes are platform-specific products, and their contents vary by year. Before buying, match the pass to your game’s platform and the year of content you want; do not infer that a listing for one year or platform applies to another.

Year 3 Ultimate Pass: a dated example
Capcom’s Year 3 Ultimate Pass listing specifies Sagat, C. Viper, Alex, and Ingrid; Outfit 1 Colors 3–10 for those characters; and Outfit 2 and Outfit 3, each with Colors 1–10. It also lists one additional stage and 5,800 Drive Tickets. The base game is sold separately.
Those are the listed contents of this particular Year 3 product, not a standard specification for every Ultimate Pass. The listing’s store price and any discounts can change, so check the live product page for your platform rather than relying on an old price. A pass is most relevant if you want several of its included items; it is not automatically the right purchase if you only need one Outfit 2.

Special campaign colors may need a code and an outfit
Special colors distributed through campaigns have their own eligibility rules. A code alone may not make a color usable: the game, downloadable content, outfit, platform, and dates can all matter. Check the terms for the exact campaign, since requirements from one promotion do not establish the requirements for another.
M. Bison campaign: code entry opens October 15, 2026
Capcom’s October 9, 2026 campaign offers a commemorative special color connected with eligible Capcom Town Store orders. Its stated requirements to use the color are Street Fighter 6, Year 2 DLC, and the applicable character’s Outfit 2. The code may be entered before you acquire Outfit 2, but the color cannot be used until you have that outfit.

The campaign lists support for Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. A code is not shared across platforms, so plan to redeem it on the platform where you intend to use the reward. Capcom lists the entry window as October 15, 2026, at 11:00 ET through January 15, 2027, at 09:59 ET. As of October 13, 2026, that entry window has not yet opened. Check the current campaign terms for the eligible order and redemption details before relying on the promotion.

Guile Twitch campaign: viewing has ended, redemption is scheduled
Capcom’s Guile promotion distributed a movie-inspired color code for watching the Street Fighter 6 Twitch category for at least 30 minutes during the stated event windows: October 1–2 and October 12–13, 2026. Those viewing windows have passed. The code is scheduled to become redeemable starting October 15, 2026, at 8:00 AM PT.
Capcom says redemption requires Street Fighter 6, Guile’s applicable Outfit 2, and an online connection. The code is limited to one platform and cannot be shared across platforms. Because the viewing period has ended, a reader who did not qualify for or receive a code should not assume that watching later will earn this campaign reward. The redemption date is not a promise that codes remain obtainable or that a code can be used on another platform.

This distinction prevents a common mismatch: a pass’s included Outfit 1 colors are not evidence that it includes every special color, and owning a special-color code does not necessarily satisfy an outfit prerequisite. Read the item or campaign requirement as well as the pass contents.

- Outfit 2 did not unlock after World Tour activity: check the specific master’s missions and bond state. A single universal sequence is not established for all characters.
- The Avatar Arcade gauge is not full: continue defeating masters and check the target master’s Acquisition Gauge. The unlock condition Capcom specifies is that the gauge reaches MAX.
- A special color code was accepted but the color is unavailable: confirm that you have the required Outfit 2 and any listed DLC. For the M. Bison campaign, the color becomes usable only after the applicable Outfit 2 is acquired.
- A code does not work on another platform: campaign codes can be platform-limited. The M. Bison campaign and Guile event both state that codes are not shared across platforms.
- A pass does not appear to contain the item you expected: check the year-specific listing for the correct platform. Passes differ by year, and the base game is a separate requirement.
- You are looking for an amiibo unlock: Capcom’s amiibo manual describes saving and reading outfit and color settings; it does not identify amiibo as a way to unlock a costume.
What is not established about current colors and prices
Capcom’s cited pass descriptions establish bundle contents, and the campaign announcements establish terms for the named rewards. They do not establish a complete current catalog of special colors or current individual color prices. For items outside the specific routes described above, check the in-game Shop and the current announcement for that item. Avoid assuming an old promotion is still available: codes and campaigns can have fixed viewing, entry, or redemption windows.
