What is Gods With Badges?

Its stated focus is the pressure and moral ambiguity surrounding law-enforcement power, social dynamics and institutions. The game is listed on Steam under Strategy and is single-player.

The protagonist, Harrow McClellan, is a disgraced police officer sent back to her original post in Scarhelm, a dystopian city of the future. The scandal that drove her away has become a law-enforcement legend, so her reputation is part of the situation she must navigate when she returns.
How does the gameplay work?
Patrol and investigation
Players patrol open hubs in Scarhelm, respond to civic and criminal complaints, deliver tickets, seize contraband and search for evidence. These duties set up encounters and choices rather than making the game only about combat.

The body-camera trade-off
According to Gematsu’s announcement report, Harrow can temporarily turn off her body camera to open some dialogue and tactical options. Doing so also removes the public record of what happens afterward. The mechanic makes the choice tangible: additional freedom in the moment comes at the cost of accountability and evidence.

What is the connection to Hard Justice?
Gods With Badges began as Hard Justice, an unrealized project by Artificer. Strange Scaffold is reinterpreting its foundations and development materials, and the studio associates the project with its Project Share initiative. This is a reworking of earlier material, not a claim that the prior game was released under a different name.

- A MAGNETIC MOVEMENT PUZZLE — Turtle Tactics is a sequential-movement brain teaser in a magnetic metal tin. Slide the turtles and the hare, one careful move at a time, to guide each animal to its correct destination — its favorite-colored meal on the other side of the fence. Planning the right order of moves is a real test of planning, spatial insight, visual perception and problem solving, and it's just as absorbing for a grown-up as for a child.
- 48 CHALLENGES, EASY TO EXPERT — FOR AGES 7 TO ADULT — With 48 challenges of steadily rising difficulty, Turtle Tactics is a genuine all-ages brain teaser. Early challenges introduce the moves gently; the hardest demand that you think several steps ahead, and will test any adult. A 7-year-old and a puzzle-loving grandparent can each find their level. One solution per challenge, shown in the booklet.
- GUIDE EVERY ANIMAL HOME — Choose a challenge and place the turtles and hare on the board as shown. Then move them, one at a time, to lead each animal to its correct spot across the fence — but every move matters, and the wrong order can block the path. Work out the smartest route, shift the magnetic pieces into place, and get everyone to their destination. One solution each time — can you reach the finish first?
- MADE FOR TRAVEL & EVERY GENERATION — The magnetic pieces stay put and the metal tin snaps shut, so there's nothing to lose on a plane, in the car or at a restaurant — just close it and go. A screen-free solo brain teaser that gives kids a fun mental workout, adults a satisfying daily challenge, and older players an engaging way to keep the mind sharp and active — a great gift for puzzle lovers of any age.
- AWARD-WINNING BELGIAN DESIGN — SmartGames is the worldwide leader in multi-level logic games, with 30+ years of award-winning design from Belgium, trusted by families, educators and puzzle lovers in 80+ countries. Turtle Tactics is built to the same standard: sturdy magnetic pieces, a durable metal travel tin, and a single elegant solution per challenge — a pocket-sized brain teaser made to be solved again and again.

- The Maps Expansion is usable with ALL play modes. These are NOT just aesthetic changes! These change the gameplay drastically. Each map takes a different approach to where control areas are placed, how much space is between the control areas and what terrain surrounds them.
- This requires a different strategy on how to approach and defend the control areas resulting in a very different experience!
| Component | Minimum requirement listed by Steam |
|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 10 |
| Processor | Intel Core i5-7400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600 |

Steam’s developer-provided description also notes that patrol and complaint scenarios address varied mature subject matter, primarily through playable conversations. The announcement materials identify Kris Kirk as composer of a noir soundtrack.
