What the Steelcraft Agile Twin offers
The Agile Twin has two side-by-side seats and is designed as a travel-system stroller. CHOICE’s product listing marks it discontinued and reports four wheels, one seat suitable for newborns, and a maximum recommended weight of 20 kg per child. That newborn suitability is listed for one seat, not both.

The Steelcraft/Britax SH819 instruction booklet lists two child trays and two car-seat receivers among the stroller’s components. It identifies the Steelcraft Infant Carrier, sold separately, as a compatible carrier. The available documentation does not establish compatibility with other carriers.

Safety guidance in the instruction booklet
The SH819 booklet says to follow the manufacturer’s instructions, use the harness at all times, apply the brakes whenever the stroller is stationary, and keep children clear of moving parts. It also calls for care on slopes and while folding or unfolding. The booklet states: “The correct use and maintenance of this product is essential.”
Recall: check the batch before buying a used unit
An Australian recall notice covers Steelcraft Agile, Agile Plus, Agile Twin, and BOB Motion strollers made before July 2013. Batches 13 06 (June 2013) and earlier were affected by a risk of finger laceration at the hinge while folding. The notice says batches 13 07 (July 2013) and later were not affected by that recall, and describes a free hinge-cover kit as the remedy. The notice does not establish whether kits are still available today.

- Find the model and batch label on the stroller’s rear leg.
- If the batch is 13 06 or earlier, contact the responsible supplier to confirm whether the recall remedy was completed and what options remain.
- Keep fingers clear of the hinge whenever folding or unfolding the stroller.
A separate Britax Australia notice discusses Click & Go receivers and the US B-Safe infant carrier. It is distinct from the Australian Agile Twin folding-hinge recall and should not be treated as the same recall.

- Batch and recall remedy: Check the rear-leg label and verify the remedy status for any affected batch with the responsible supplier.
- Included components: Confirm which trays, receivers, and other parts are actually present; the booklet’s listed components do not guarantee that a used stroller includes them.
- Carrier fit: If you need a travel system, verify that the separately sold Steelcraft Infant Carrier specified by the booklet is included or obtainable and suitable for your needs. Do not assume another carrier will fit.
- Child fit: The published maximum is 20 kg per seat, but CHOICE lists only one seat as suitable for newborns.
- Storage needs: Note the discrepancy between CHOICE’s 2 kg basket listing and the booklet’s 6 kg instruction; follow the model’s booklet when loading the stroller.
- Condition and supply: CHOICE marks the model discontinued. Current new or used stock, spare-part supply, and recall-kit availability are not established by the available product and recall information.
How to compare it with another double stroller
Compare practical specifications rather than relying on the “twin” label alone. Check newborn suitability for each seat, maximum child weight, basket limit, overall and folded dimensions, and the exact infant-carrier models approved for use. For an older stroller, include the batch and recall-remedy status in the comparison. CHOICE’s listed dimensions are overall dimensions; they do not supply a folded size in the figures above.
