Steamhouse India reported consolidated profit after tax of ₹183.42 million for Q1 FY27, up 80.25% year on year, while operational EBITDA excluding other income rose 60.08% to ₹309.32 million. Shares were reported up nearly 10% in morning trade on October 6, 2026—not 6%—but the available market reports do not establish a single closing or intraday reference point for that difference.

What did Steamhouse India report for Q1 FY27?

The quarter ended June 30, 2026. Steamhouse India’s board approved the unaudited results on October 5, according to The Economic Times company-announcement listing. The figures below are consolidated and reported by NDTV Profit.

Why did the shares rise?

Market coverage connected the October 6 move with the company’s results. The reported earnings showed substantially higher profit and operational EBITDA year on year, alongside an expanded EBITDA margin. This explains the immediate results-related context, but the reports do not establish that earnings alone caused the share-price move.

NDTV Profit reported shares nearly 10% higher during morning trade on October 6. Its snapshot at about 10:12 a.m. put the price at ₹118.42, compared with the previous close of ₹107.70. Business Standard described an upper-circuit move, while The Economic Times also covered the stock’s rise. These are time-specific reports, not a current quote; they do not verify a 6% gain or clarify what measurement produced that figure.

What drove the higher revenue and EBITDA?

NDTV Profit reported that the company attributed year-on-year revenue growth primarily to steam sales, which increased 46.07%. Coverage also attributed the EBITDA improvement to optimal use of waste-to-energy boilers and operating leverage as steam sales grew. Those are reported company explanations, not independently established causal measurements.

What does Steamhouse India do?

Steamhouse India generates and distributes industrial steam using community boilers and pipeline networks, according to Business Standard’s company description. The company’s investor-relations page lists corporate announcements, exchange filings, financial results and annual reports. Readers seeking accounting notes or the full statement should consult the original filing and company materials rather than infer details from the headline figures.

How to read the quarter’s growth rates

The year-on-year comparison is against Q1 FY26 and shows growth in revenue, profit and operational EBITDA. The sequential comparison is against Q4 FY26: revenue fell 7.10%, even as the cited report says PAT and EBITDA rose. These comparisons answer different questions, so the revenue decline versus the prior quarter does not cancel out its year-on-year increase.
